Pre‐Curved Everting Robots With Embedded Steering Intelligence Fabricated by CO2 Laser Welding

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Design and experimental demonstration of a laser welded growing robot for anatomically guided navigation. The robot follows an aortic arch phantom entering the branchiocephalic branch through steering by design. The figure shows the physical phantom setup, CAD defined weld geometry and full robot eversion.

Synthesis Of ZnSe/CdS/ZnSe Nanobarbells Showing Photoinduced Charge Separation

open access: yes, 2009
We report on it colloidal synthesis of barbell-shaped nanocrystals comprising a type II hetero-junction of ZnSe and US domains and showing compelling evidence of photoinduced charge separation at the interface of ZnSe and US materials.

Synthesis of CdSe/ZnSe Core/Shell and CdSe/ZnSe/ZnS Core/Shell/Shell Nanocrystals: Surface-Ligand Strain and CdSe–ZnSe Lattice Strain

open access: yes, 2023
Size- and shape-controlled CdSe/ZnSe core/shell and CdSe/ZnSe/ZnS core/shell/shell nanocrystals in a zinc-blende structure with (zinc) alkanoates as the ligands are synthesized by managing two types of strains.

Formation of ZnSe/Bi2Se3 QDs by surface cation exchange and high photothermal conversion

open access: yes, 2015
Water-dispersed core/shell structure ZnSe/Bi2Se3 quantum dots were synthesized by ultrasonicwave-assisted cation exchange reaction. Only surface Zn ion can be replaced by Bi ion in ZnSe quantum dots, which lead to the ultrathin Bi2Se3 shell layer formed.

Spectroscopic and In Silico Determination of the Structural and Antioxidant Properties of Essential Oils From Lavandula Species Cultivated in the Silivri Region of Istanbul

open access: yesJournal of the American Oil Chemists' Society, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Plants are important sources of bioactive compounds that contribute to nutrition, health maintenance, and disease prevention. In this study, the chemical composition and antioxidant potential of essential oils obtained from Lavandula angustifolia “Sevtopolis” and Lavandula × intermedia cultivated in the Silivri region of Istanbul were ...

Two-photon absorption in ZnSe and ZnSe/ZnS core/shell quantum structures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The third order nonlinear optical properties of two different sized ZnSe and ZnSe/ZnS quantum dots (QDs) are investigated. The nonlinear absorption is measured at 806 nm using Ti:sapphire 100 fs laser pulses in an open aperture Z-scan setup.

4D Materials of Tough and Rapid Thermoresponsive Hydrogel by PET‐RAFT Polymerization

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, EarlyView.
NIPAm‐containing bilayer hydrogels using a novel hydrogel formation method utilizing oxygen‐tolerant PET‐RAFT polymerization to investigate their temperature‐responsive behavior. The material properties strongly depend on NIPAm concentration and polymer density. Finally, we demonstrated a model gripper with optimized compositions.

Infinite Functional Versatility, Formidable Limits: Evaluating Gallium‐Based Liquid Metals in Rechargeable Batteries

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
Beyond the hype surrounding the self‐healing properties of gallium‐based liquid metals (Ga‐LMs), this perspective critically examines their functional roles in metal‐ion batteries, highlighting both their underlying merits and the often‐overlooked challenges, including non‐representative design and testing configurations, performance overestimations ...

Characterization of ZnSe Nanolayers by Spectroscopic Ellipsometry

open access: yes, 2009
Single layers of ZnSe with thicknesses of 30, 40, 50, 70 and 100 nm are deposited at room substrate temperature by thermal evaporation of ZnSe powder in vacuum. The layers surface morphology has been investigated by atomic force microscopy.
