Introducing the Groundbreaking Design of the First n‐Input AND Gate Using an Optical‐MOSFET With a Revolutionary Structure of Pulse‐Shaped Gates

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, Volume 7, Issue 5, May 2026.
The paper introduces the first logic gate implementation using optical metal–oxide‐semiconductor field‐effect transistor architecture, specifically designing two‐input and three‐input AND gates based on a silicene waveguide with pulse‐shaped gates. The key innovations include: (1) pulse‐shaped gate design.

Micro-toughness of ZrB2-based ceramics evaluated by ultra-shallow V-notch

open access: yesJournal of Asian Ceramic Societies, 2022
Because of the essential difference between micro-toughness and macro-toughness, the indiscriminate application of deep notch tests may result in serious errors of micro-toughness associated with shallow cracks or flaws in ceramics.

Chemical vapor deposition of ZrB2 and TiB2-ZrB2 films on mild steel substrates.

open access: yesJournal of the Surface Finishing Society of Japan, 1990
Chemical vapor deposition of ZrB2 and TiB2-ZrB2 composites on mild steel substrates was carried out with the hydorgen reduction of ZrCl4-BCl3 and TiCl4-ZrCl4-BCl3 mixtures. The ZrB2 deposition was carried out at substrate temperatures of 1273K and above, [ZrCl4/ZrCl4+BCl3] gas ratios of 0.33 and above, and Cl/H ratios of 0.13 and below.

Intrinsic Thermal Transport Properties of ZrB2 From Room Temperature to Melting Point

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Zirconium diboride (ZrB2) is a promising material for extreme‐environment applications, yet its intrinsic high‐temperature thermophysical behavior remains uncertain: Experiments are highly sensitive to processing conditions, simulations omit key mechanisms, and both rarely reach ultrahigh temperatures. Here, we predict the thermal conductivity
