Assessment of ZTD derived from ECMWF/NCEP data with GPS ZTD over China [PDF]
The accuracy and feasibility of computing the zenith tropospheric delays (ZTDs) from data of the European Center for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) and the United States National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP) are studied. The ZTDs are calculated from ECMWF/NCEP pressure-level data by integration and from the surface data with the ...

A new ZTD model based on permanent ground-based GNSS-ZTD data
Survey Review, 2016Tropospheric delay has a major effect on the accuracy of navigation and positioning when using the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS). Zenith tropospheric delay (ZTD) modelling has been used to weaken the influence of the atmosphere. The work reported here focused on ZTD modelling based on real-time surface meteorological parameters ...

Assessing long-term ZTD trends for climate
2023In this presentation we showcase results of an ongoing effort to assess long-term ZTD trends for eventual use in climate models, either for assimilation or validation. We have been analyzing the ZTD time series estimated from six REPRO3 IGS Analysis Centers (ACs), namely, COD, ESA, GFZ, GRG, JPL, TUG, to compare their long-term trends.
