Functional role of starch and kappa-carrageenan on the rheology and flavour of a custard dessert (COST 921 recipe) [PDF]
Flavour release and perception are complex processes in which different physico-chemical and physiological phenomena may be involved 1. Whereas flavour release is mainly governed by chemical and/or physical interactions between flavour compounds and the ...

ABSTRACT This research focused on characterizing graphitic carbon nitride (g‐C3N4) nanocomposites incorporated with ZnO and Ag2O nanoparticles, and carrageenan to remove heavy metals. The ZnO/Ag2O@ g‐C3N4 and ZnO/Ag2O/g‐C3N4@Carr nanocomposites demonstrated thermal stability of 97.40% (108.81°C) and 82.80% (188.99°C) for TGA.

Carrageenans, sulphated polysaccharides of red seaweeds, differentially affect Arabidopsis thaliana resistance to Trichoplusia ni (cabbage looper). [PDF]
Carrageenans are a collective family of linear, sulphated galactans found in a number of commercially important species of marine red alga. These polysaccharides are known to elicit defense responses in plant and animals and possess anti-viral properties.
