Pheochromocytoma and Diffuse Large B‐Cell Lymphoma in the Ipsilateral Adrenal Gland: A Case Report

open access: yesIJU Case Reports, Volume 9, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction Pheochromocytoma is a catecholamine‐producing tumor arising from the adrenal medulla. When it coexists with a tumor of different origin within the same adrenal gland, it is classified as a collision tumor involving a pheochromocytoma.

Astatine‐211—Towards In Vivo Stable Astatine‐211 Labeled Radiopharmaceuticals and Their (Pre)Clinical Applications

open access: yesMedicinal Research Reviews, Volume 46, Issue 1, Page 203-237, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Targeted radioligand therapy has emerged as a promising treatment option for eradicating advanced cancer forms. α‐Emitters are considered particularly promising as they can obliterate (micro)‐metastases. The α‐emitter astatine‐211 (211At) has experienced increased interest due to its favorable decay properties.

The neuronal imaging in cardiology: 123I-mIBG in clinical practice

open access: yesBiophysical Reviews
Neuronal imaging, or assessment of sympathetic activity of the heart, along with the study of perfusion, myocardial and coronary blood flow reserve, and contractility, is another unique facet of nuclear medicine and an integral component in unravelling and understanding the mechanisms of cardiovascular disease (CVD) development, predicting the course ...

Renal 123I-MIBG Scintigraphy Before and After Kidney Autotransplantation

open access: yesClinical Nuclear Medicine, 2015
A 25-year-old man underwent an autotransplantation of his right kidney because of fibromuscular dysplasia-induced renal artery stenosis and subsequent hypertension. Since transplantation results in complete kidney denervation, it enabled assessment of renal sympathetic nerve activity changes using renal I-MIBG scintigraphy.

11C‐Hydroxyephedrine PET/CT for preoperative surgical planning in large pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma

open access: yesJournal of Neuroendocrinology, Volume 38, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract Early detection of metastases and timely surgical intervention play a crucial role in the management of neuroendocrine tumors. In large‐sized pheochromocytomas and sympathetic paragangliomas (PPGL), functional imaging with positron emission tomography (PET) is recommended, as it improves the detection of metastases, which may go undetected on ...
