RESPONSE OF A 2DEG TO MICROWAVE IRRADIATION
International Journal of Modern Physics B, 2007In this paper, we study the behavior of a high mobility two dimensional electron gas under microwave irradiation by means of magneto-photoluminescence (PL) and absorption measurements. The high mobility sample investigated is a 15nm wide GaAs/AlGaAs quantum well with an electron concentration between 1-2×1011 cm -2, tunable by visible-light ...

The interaction of two-dimensional electron gas (2DEG) in a solid-state heterostructure with a surrounding slow wave circuit holds the potential for high power THz generation and amplification. The dense 2DEG formed at material interfaces will provide an ideally confined beam of high-density electrons, where problems pertinent to the vacuum electron ...

Diffusion thermopower of a 2DEG
Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter, 1991The authors investigate the effect of the background impurity concentration NBI on the thermopower of a GaAs/AlGaAs heterojunction. A comparison between a GaAs/AlGaAs heterojunction and a Si MOSFET is also given. For the heterojunction the authors always find a negative sign for the thermopower, in contrast to the Si MOSFET for which the sign sometimes

Excitations of a drifting 2DEG
Solid-State Electronics, 1996Abstract Results are presented on spatially resolved Raman scattering and photoluminescence measurements of a drifting two-dimensional electron gas. Under drifting conditions, a low energy feature is observed in polarized Raman scattering in addition to the intrasubband plasmon mode, and was found to disperse linearly with in-plane wavevector.

Persistent currents in meoscopic 2DEG rings
Czechoslovak Journal of Physics, 1996We performed measurements of the magnetic response of a single mesoscopic ring made of a GaAlAs/GaAs heterojunction (2 DEG). We detected a magnetic signal, with a period h/e, which is an evidence, of persistent currents. The amplitude and the sign of this signal seem to vary in time despite a stable amplitude and phase of the Aharonov-Bohm conductance ...

AbstractPhotoluminescence spectra taken from modulationdoped CdTe/(Cd0.7Mg0.3)Te quantum well structures with a two‐dimensional electron gas of moderate to high density (from ne ∼ 1010 up to ne ∼ 1012 cm–2) in magnetic fields from 0 T to 45 T were studied. The observed spectra were analyzed in terms of combined excitonelectron processes.

Bernstein modes in grating-coupled 2DEGs
Semiconductor Science and Technology, 1996Calculations and experimental data are reported on the optical coupling to the Bernstein modes of a two-dimensional electron gas (2DEG) in a perpendicular magnetic field using an overlaid grating coupler. The Bernstein modes are harmonics of the cyclotron resonance and are observed indirectly through their interaction with the 2DEG magnetoplasmon.

A novel InGaAs Schottky-2DEG diode
1993 (5th) International Conference on Indium Phosphide and Related Materials, 2002The preparation and properties of planar pseudomorphic InGaAs Schottky two-dimensional electron gas (2DEG) diodes are described. Single- and double-barrier diodes were prepared on metal-organic vapor phase epitaxial (MOVPE) grown modulation doped FET (MODFET)-like structures.

Quantum capacitance measurement of 2DEG
2020Two-dimensional electron gas has various novel properties. This kind of electronic system like two-dimensional semiconducting transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs) and graphene are discovered with novel physical phenomena like valley Hall effect, Ising superconductivity and circular dichroism etc. In this thesis, the negative capacitance and inverse
