SYNTHESIS AND ANTIBACTERIAL ACTIVITY OF PIPERAZINE ANALOGUES CONTAINING [1, 3, 4]-OXADIAZOLE RING

INDIAN DRUGS, 2020
A new series of piperazine-1, 3, 4-oxadiazole deviatives were synthesized by the condensation of 1, 3, 4-thidaizole with substituted piperazine, in the presence of N, N-diisopropylethylamine. The structures were confirmed by IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR and Mass spectroscopy.

Synthesis and Biological Evaluation of Naphthylmethyl-1, 3, 4-Oxadiazoles for Antioxidant and Antibacterial Activities

Asian Journal of Research in Chemistry, 2015
A Series of 2-((naphthalen-1-yl) methyl)-5-substituted-1,3,4-oxadiazole derivatives were synthesized by refluxing naphthyl acetic acid hydrazide with substituted aromatic acids in presence of phosphorous oxychloride. The intermediate naphthyl acetic acid hydrazide (2) was prepared by treatment of naphthyl acetic acid ester (1) with hydrazine hydrate ...

Greener Synthesis of some Bioactive 2, 5-Disubstituted-1, 3, 4-Oxadiazoles

Research Journal of Pharmacy and Technology, 2016
In the present paper, a series of substituted 1,3,4-oxadiazoles have been synthesized by three different methods i.e. conventional heating, microwave irradiation method 1 and microwave irradiation method 2. Conventional heating, microwave irradiation method 1 and microwave irradiation method 2 were compared in terms percent yield, reaction time ...

Synthesis, anticancer, and computational studies of 1, 3, 4‐oxadiazole‐purine derivatives

Journal of Heterocyclic Chemistry, 2020
AbstractTheophylline‐7‐acetic acid (acefylline) (3) and its derivatives are pharmacologically active compounds and generally recognized as bronchodilators for the treatment of respiratory diseases like acute asthma for over 70 years. In this article, synthesis of 2‐((5‐((1,3‐dimethyl‐2,6‐dioxo‐2,3‐dihydro‐1H‐purin‐7(6H)‐yl)methyl)‐1,3,4‐oxadiazol‐2‐yl ...

Pharmacophore studies of 1, 3, 4-oxadiazole nucleus: Lead compounds as α-glucosidase inhibitors

Food and Chemical Toxicology, 2019
α-glucosidase inhibition is a rational approach in the effective management of type 2 diabetes. Several inhibitors of this enzyme class are in clinical use, but are riddled with efficacy, potency and safety challenges. For this reason, new effective α-glucosidase inhibitors are under investigation.

Synthesis of some polyureas based on diamino derivatives of bis-1, 3, 4-oxadiazole

Chemistry of Heterocyclic Compounds, 1969
Ortho-, meta, and para-nitrobenzoyl derivatives of the dihydrazides of succinic, glutaric, adipic, and azelaic acids are prepared, from which are obtained nitro and amlno derivatives of bis-1,3,4- diazole. Various conditions for synthesizing these compounds are investigated. A series of polyureas is obtained by reacting diamino derivatives of bis-1,3,4-

1, 3, 4-Oxadiazole: A Versatile Compound With Potent Analgesic Activity

Oxadiazole is a heterocyclic ring with 5 members that has 1 oxygen atom, 2 nitrogen atoms, 2 double bonds, and 2 carbons. In furan, they are created by placing two methylene groups (=CH) for two nitrogen (-N=) atoms. The aromaticity was reduced by the substitution of these groups. There were four different isomer of oxadiazole that were identified: 1,3,
