Supra and subgingival application of antiseptics or antibiotics during periodontal therapy
Abstract Periodontal diseases (gingivitis and periodontitis) are characterized by inflammatory processes which arise as a result of disruption of the balance in the oral ecosystem. According to the current S3 level clinical practice guidelines, therapy of patients with periodontitis involves a stepwise approach that includes the control of the patient ...

Synthesis of N-7-Substituted Purines from Imidazole Precursors
Synthesis of purines and purine mono-1-oxides from the respective 5-substituted 4-nitroimidazole derivatives is described. The commercially available 4-nitroimidazole, in a few simple steps (including Vicarious Nucleophilic Substitution of Hydrogen), was

In-vitro studies of two 5-nitroimidazole derivatives [PDF]
This paper reports the findings obtained using two new compounds belonging to the 5-nitroimidazole family: sulphuridazole (V1) and sulphonidazole (V2). We first assessed their antimicrobial activity on Clostridia spp. and then extended the study to Gram-positive and Gram-negative aerobic microorganisms and to Candida albicans.
