The analytical methods reported to evaluate 6-Thioguanine nucleotides (6-TGNs) level in red blood cells (RBC) are based on the conversion of 6-TGNs to 6-Thioguanine (6-TG) using 6-thioguanine as calibration standard.Using the LC-DAD method previously ...

Measurements of 6-thioguanine nucleotide levels with TPMT and NUDT15 genotyping in patients with Crohn's disease. [PDF]
The association between the 6-thioguanine nucleotide (6-TGN) level and clinical remission in Crohn's disease (CD) remains controversial. Thiopurine-induced leukopenia is a life-threatening complication of CD in Asians that was recently shown to strongly ...

Excited State Dynamics of 6-Thioguanine [PDF]
Here we present the excited state dynamics of jet-cooled 6-thioguanine (6-TG), using resonance-enhanced multiphoton ionization (REMPI), IR-UV double resonance spectroscopy, and pump-probe spectroscopy in the nanosecond and picosecond time domains. We report data on two thiol tautomers, which appear to have different excited state dynamics.

Au Nanoparticle Loaded with 6-Thioguanine Anticancer Drug as a New Strategy for Drug Delivery [PDF]
In this study we suggested a new strategy for drug delivery of 6-thioguanine (6-TG) as a cancer drug by loading of this thiolic drug at a surface of Au nanoparticles. For this goal, we synthesized Au nanoparticle (Au/NPs) by reduction of tetrachloroauric

TP53 R249S mutation in hepatic organoids captures the predisposing cancer risk
The systematic approach in elucidating the gain‐of‐function (GOF) roles of TP53 mutations in early liver carcinogenesis. Unique downstream targets of TP53 L3 mutations were identified from chormatin immunoprecipitation sequencing in HCC cell lines, followed by a series of validation assays to substantiate the exclusive transcriptional regulations ...

Use of thiopurines in inflammatory bowel disease: an update [PDF]
Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), once considered a disease of the Western hemisphere, has emerged as a global disease. As the disease prevalence is on a steady rise, management of IBD has come under the spotlight.

Assay of 6‐thioguanine in human plasma. [PDF]
1. A fluorimetric method has been developed for measuring therapeutic concentrations of 6‐thioguanine in human plasma. The drug was measured as an oxidized derivative, guanine 6‐sulphonate. 2. 6‐thioguanine was extracted from plasma by a novel procedure which isolated the drug from an interfering plasma components. This method involved the formation of
