Site-specifically 89Zr-labeled monoclonal antibodies for ImmunoPET

Nuclear Medicine and Biology, 2010
Three thiol reactive reagents were developed for the chemoselective conjugation of desferrioxamine (Df) to a monoclonal antibody via engineered cysteine residues (thio-trastuzumab). The in vitro stability and in vivo imaging properties of site-specifically radiolabeled (89)Zr-Df-thio-trastuzumab conjugates were investigated. The amino group of ...

Medical radioisotope 89Zr production with RFT-30 cyclotron

Journal of Radioanalytical and Nuclear Chemistry, 2021
89Zr is an emerging radionuclide with promising application in nuclear medicine for the non-invasive diagnosis of various cancers with PET imaging. This paper would discuss optimization efforts in the production of 89Zr carried out at Accelerator Radioisotope Development Team, Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute.

Decay of 78.4 h 89Zr

Nuclear Physics A, 1968
Abstract Sources of 78.4 h 89 Zr were produced by the 89 Y(p, n) 89 Zr reaction, and the decay properties were studied with Ge(Li) detectors. The energies of previously reported γ-ray transitions were measured as E γ = 909.1±0.1, 1620.6±0.7 and 1713.0±0.6 keV.

Excitation function of the89Y/d,2n/89Zr reaction

Journal of Radioanalytical and Nuclear Chemistry Letters, 1988
The excitation function of the89Y/d,2n/89Zr reaction was determined by the stacking foil technique below 13.5 MeV. The measured dependence has a threshold energy of Ethr=6.0 MeV. An estimation by the Keller, Lange and Munzel tables is in good agreement with the experiment.

Optimization of 89Zr production using Monte Carlo simulations

Journal of Radioanalytical and Nuclear Chemistry, 2012
Zirconium-89 (89Zr) can be produced in a cyclotron by focusing the proton beam on an yttrium-89 (89Y) foil target. Optimal combination of beam energy and target assembly configuration enables maximum production of 89Zr while minimizing the formation of contaminant nuclides such as 88Zr and 88Y to allow efficient and effective radiopharmaceutical ...

Production of 89Zr via the 89Y(p,n)89Zr reaction in aqueous solution: Effect of solution composition on in-target chemistry

Nuclear Medicine and Biology, 2014
The existing solid target production method of radiometals requires high capital and operational expenditures, which limit the production of radiometals to the small fraction of cyclotron facilities that are equipped with solid target systems. Our objective is to develop a robust solution target method, which can be applicable to a wide array of ...

Levels in 89Y populated by decay of 89Zr

Nuclear Physics A, 1968
Abstract Gamma spectra resulting from the decay of 89Zr were measured and used to obtain the level scheme of 89Y. The 89Y target was bombarded with ≈ 10 MeV protons. Transitions assigned to 89Y are 908, 1506, 1617, 1655, 1712 and 1744 keV. Energy levels of 89Y are assigned as 908, 1506, 1744, 2525, 2563 and 2620 keV.
