Anterior corneal, posterior corneal, and lenticular contributions to ocular aberrations
Purpose: To determine the corneal surfaces and lens contributions to ocular aberrations.\ud \ud Methods: There were 61 healthy participants with ages ranging from 20 to 55 years and refractions –8.25 D to +3.25 D.

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Off-axis transmission holographic system for recording aquatic particles
We describe a holographic system for recording particles suspended in water. The hologram plate is located in air, separated from the test tank by an air/glass/water boundary. The holographic emulsion is therefore unaffected by adverse aquatic conditions

Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

In the current study, we address the phase retrieval of one-dimensional phase objects from near-field diffraction patterns using the multiple-plane Gerchberg–Saxton algorithm, which is still widely used for phase retrieval.

Aberrations of emmetropic subjects at different ages
We made on-axis aberrations and horizontal peripheral refraction measurements of emmetropic subjects (spherical equivalent −0.88D to +0.75D) aged between 19 and 70 years.

Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Refractive telescope design with digital correction of residual chromatic aberrations
In general, optical designers employ combinations of multiple lenses with extraordinary dispersion materials to correct chromatic aberrations, which usually leads to considerable volume and weight.

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...
