Creep-rupture of polymer-matrix composites [PDF]
An accelerated characterization method for resin matrix composites is reviewed. Methods for determining modulus and strength master curves are given.

We established a spheroid coculture system enabling viable Porphyromonas gingivalis–HNSCC interactions under normoxic conditions. Inhibition of LATS1/2 maintains tumor cells in an undifferentiated state, which may promote spheroid growth and create a more permissive environment for bacterial persistence.

DDX3X induces mesenchymal transition of endothelial cells by disrupting BMPR2 signaling
Elevated DDX3X expression led to downregulation of BMPR2, a key regulator of endothelial homeostasis and function. Our co‐immunoprecipitation assays further demonstrated a molecular interaction between DDX3X and BMPR2. Notably, DDX3X promoted lysosomal degradation of BMPR2, thereby impairing its downstream signaling and facilitating endothelial‐to ...

Nonlinear Creep Constitutive Model of Rock Considering Hardening Effect
The creep of rock is a complex mechanical phenomenon driven by internal stress adjustment and the interplay between hardening and damage effects. To precisely capture the nonlinearity of rock creep and the law of accelerated deformation, a hardening ...

Creep Mechanics of the High-Stress Soft Rock under Grade Unloading
In order to study the creep behavior of deep soft rock, gritstone was chosen as the research subject, and a rock triaxial rheometer (Rock 600-50) and acoustic emission (AE) system (SH-II) were used to carry out the grade unloading confining pressure ...

The viscoelastic behavior of a composite in a thermal environment [PDF]
A proposed method for the accelerated predictions of modulus and life times for time dependent polymer matrix composite laminates is presented. The method, based on the time temperature superposition principle and lamination theory, is described in ...

Microstructural modelling of creep crack growth from a blunted crack [PDF]
The effect of crack tip blunting on the initial stages of creep crack growth is investigated by means of a planar microstructural model in which grains are represented discretely. The actual linking-up process of discrete microcracks with the macroscopic

TMC4 localizes to multiple taste cell types in the mouse taste papillae
Transmembrane channel‐like 4 (TMC4), a voltage‐dependent chloride channel, plays a critical role in amiloride‐insensitive salty taste transduction. TMC4 is broadly expressed in all mature taste cell types, suggesting a possible involvement of multiple cell types in this pathway.

Research on Unsteady Burgers Creep Constitutive Model and Secondary Development Application
Considering the complexity and diversity of water-rich soft soil strata, indoor triaxial shear tests and creep tests were conducted on soft soil to explore its deformation law and creep characteristics.

Dust Ejection from Planetary Bodies by Temperature Gradients: Laboratory Experiments
Laboratory experiments show that dusty bodies in a gaseous environment eject dust particles if they are illuminated. We find that even more intense dust eruptions occur when the light source is turned off.
