Sulfated Cyclocarya Paliurus Polysaccharide Sorchestrates the Gut Microbiome to Mobilize a Host‐Derived 12‐HEPE Against Ulcerative Colitis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A sulfated polysaccharide (SCP) from Cyclocarya paliurus alleviates ulcerative colitis by reshaping the gut microbiome. This remodeled microbiota orchestrates the upregulation of the host‐derived lipid 12‐HEPE, which directly inhibits the TLR4/NF‐κB pathway to suppress inflammation.

Synthetic O‐Polysaccharide Backbone Units for a Single Antigen Vaccine Against Two Major Non‐Typhoidal Salmonella Serovars

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A modular strategy was developed to synthesize tri‐, hexa‐, and nona‐saccharides representing repeating units of the conserved O‐polysaccharide backbone of Salmonella. Conjugates of these glycans to bacteriophage Qβ induced strong IgG responses in mice and rabbits. Antibodies elicited recognized native O‐polysaccharides and conferred protection against

The Measurement of Indole Acetic Acid From Rhizosphere Bacteria

open access: yes, 2021
In Indonesia, synthetic chemical fertilizers are generally used to spur plant growth. The use of synthetic chemical fertilizers is known to reduce soil quality, causing resistance to pests and plant diseases. One of the natural potencies that can be used

Anti‐inflammatory and osteogenic effects of transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation in knee osteoarthritis rats via the regulation of the intestinal microbiota

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) improved knee osteoarthritis (KOA) in rats by regulating interleukin‐1β (IL‐1β), IL‐6, and IL‐8 expressions and the bone morphogenetic protein 2 (BMP‐2)/transforming growth factor β (TGF‐β) signaling pathway.

IDENTIFICATION OF HIGH ACETIC ACID-YIELDING BACTERIA FROM NIPA SAP

open access: yesAnnals of Tropical Research, 1986
Eighteen gram-negative bacilli and cocci were selected from 40 isolates in naturally fermenting nipa sap from Paombong, Bulacan. When grown and screened in pasteurized nipa sap, 10 high acetic acid-yielding isolates were further selected. Based on their
