Thiosemicarbazones (TSC) have demonstrated promise as new chemotherapeutic agents against melanoma in both in vitro and In vivo studies. TSC are powerful metal coordinating agents, coordinating transition metal ions such as zinc, copper and iron in multiple oxidation states. It is this metal coordination that imparts the anticancer activity.

Magnetic fields modulate macrophage‐cancer crosstalk through the STING‐TRPC1 axis. Exposure reprograms macrophages toward the anti‐cancer phenotype. Aged mouse skeletal muscle exhibits greater mtUPR transcriptional initiation following repeated physical stress than young mice, coinciding with reduced mitochondrial proteostatic reserve and heightened oxidative burden. We implicate a mtROS‐JNK‐CHOP axis as a contributor to the enhanced response.
