Comparing carbon offsets and livelihood benefits in a long‐term reforestation project: Agroforestry versus native timber versus enrichment planting

open access: yesEcological Solutions and Evidence, Volume 5, Issue 3, July–September 2024.
Looking at different reforestation methods over 14 years in an Emberá Indigenous community in Panama we found that plots with native timber mixtures and monocultures stored three times more carbon than those with agroforestry or natural regrowth.
