The Feeding Behaviour of Fish from the Upper Lake Baikal Watershed of the Eroo River in Mongolia [PDF]
The upper Selenge watershed in Mongolia is home to some of the world’s unique fish species. In this study we determined the feeding behaviour of selected fish species collected from the main stream of the Eroo River and two of its upstream tributaries,

Nitrate toxicity in Siberian sturgeon (Acipenser baeri)
Abstract Excess nitrate in aquaculture has traditionally been reduced by water exchange. Current trends in environmental regulation, however, are limiting the amount of water which may be consumed or discharged, reducing the ability to use large influxes of water to remediate excess nitrate. This will create significant challenges for the aquaculture

Endogenous excretion of Siberian sturgeon,Acipenser baeriBrandt
The evolution of the ammonia excretion has been monitored for the siberian sturgeon during a fasting period. This excretion quickly decreases for various weight classes, and then reaches a constant level. The results seem to show that the sturgeon basal metabolism is very weak and that food alone is resonsible for the existence of a nychteremal cycle.
