Crystallization of active pharmaceutical ingredients is essential in pharmaceutical production. Pervaporation, a thermally-driven membrane process, has not been explored in API crystallization. Here we demonstrated PV-assisted crystallization (PVaC) for simultaneous recovery of API ortho-aminobenzoic acid (o-ABA) and pure solvent.
