Actuator Fault Diagnosis with Robustness to Sensor Distortion

open access: yesJournal of Control Science and Engineering, 2008
Actuator fault diagnosis is often studied under strong assumptions on available sensors. Typically, it is assumed that the sensors are either fault free or sufficiently redundant.

Delay-Dependent Fault-Tolerant Shape Control for Stochastic Distribution Systems

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
A new adaptive delay-dependent fault-tolerant shape control strategy is proposed for the stochastic distribution system with time-delay, which can effectively make the output probability density function (PDF) track a given target distribution.

Machine Learning‐Assisted Inverse Design of Soft and Multifunctional Hybrid Liquid Metal Composites

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A machine learning framework is presented for inverse design of synthesizable multifunctional composites containing both liquid metal and solid inclusions. By integrating physics‐based modeling, data‐driven prediction, and Bayesian optimization, the approach enables intelligent design of experiments to identify optimal compositions and realize these ...

Adaptive fault-tolerant control based on boundary estimation for space robot under joint actuator faults and uncertain parameters

open access: yesDefence Technology, 2019
Since the joint actuator of the space robot executes the control instructions frequently in the harsh space environment, it is prone to the partial loss of control effectiveness (PLCE) fault. An adaptive fault-tolerant control algorithm is designed for a

Temporally Delayed Deployment of Photo‐Responsive Liquid Crystal Polymer Networks Toward Neural Interfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Deployable medical devices typically need external stimuli to trigger deployment. However, external stimuli are difficult to supply within tissues. Here, we describe a strategy to deploy small‐scale structures into soft tissues after insertion without the need for any stimulus. We demonstrate deployment within a tissue phantom.

Soft Neural Interfaces for Circuit‐Level Analysis of Magnetogenetic Deep Brain Stimulation in Parkinson's Disease Models

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Magnetogenetic deep brain stimulation (MG‐DBS) represents a wireless neuromodulation that has demonstrated long‐lasting behavioral benefits in Parkinson's disease models. However, the circuit‐level mechanisms underlying these therapeutic effects have remained uncharacterized due to limitations of conventional neural interfaces.
