N′-[(E)-4-Methylbenzylidene]pyridine-4-carbohydrazide monohydrate

In the title hydrate, C14H13N3O·H2O, the C=N double bond adopts an E conformation and the dihedral angle between the aromatic rings is 16.36 (10)°. In the crystal, N—H...O, O—H...O and O—H...N hydrogen bonds link the components into (001) sheets.

New N-acylhydrazones with Potential Cytotoxic Activity

Some new N-acylhydrazones 7a-c having dibenzo[a,d][7]annulene moiety were synthesized by condensation of corresponding hydrazide 5 with aromatic aldehydes. The structures of these newly compounds were elucidated by IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, and elemental analysis.
