Ameliorated mean adaptive median filtering algorithm [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2019
Aiming at the problem that the quality of infrared image decreases due to the large amount of random noise in the process of collection and transmission of infrared image of electrical equipment, and the accuracy of automatic detection of electrical ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

The Kalman Filtering Blind Adaptive Multi-user Detector Based on Tracking Algorithm of Signal Subspace

open access: yesInformation, 2015
Multi-user detection is an effective method to reduce multiple access interference in code division multiple access (CDMA) systems. This paper discusses a signal subspace based blind adaptive multiuser detector and a Kalman filtering blind adaptive ...

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

A Novel Optimal Robust Adaptive Scheme for Accurate GNSS RTK/INS Tightly Coupled Integration in Urban Environments

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2023
Modern navigation systems are inseparable from an integrated solution consisting of a global navigation satellite system (GNSS) and an inertial navigation system (INS) since they serve as an important cornerstone of national comprehensive positioning ...

In vitro models of cancer‐associated fibroblast heterogeneity uncover subtype‐specific effects of CRISPR perturbations

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Development of therapies targeting cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) necessitates preclinical model systems that faithfully represent CAF–tumor biology. We established an in vitro coculture system of patient‐derived pancreatic CAFs and tumor cell lines and demonstrated its recapitulation of primary CAF–tumor biology with single‐cell transcriptomics ...

Dual targeting of RET and SRC synergizes in RET fusion‐positive cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Despite the strong activity of selective RET tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), resistance of RET fusion‐positive (RET+) lung cancer and thyroid cancer frequently occurs and is mainly driven by RET‐independent bypass mechanisms. Son et al. show that SRC TKIs significantly inhibit PAK and AKT survival signaling and enhance the efficacy of RET TKIs in ...

Modified LMS Strategies Using Internal Model Control for Active Noise and Vibration Control Systems

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2018
Traditional adaptive filtering algorithms are non-recursive systems that cannot use a time-variant reference input in real time and are not appropriate for control signals with uncertainties and unanticipated conditions. The main purpose of this research
