Solving Medium to Large Sized Euclidean Generalized Minimum Spanning Tree Problems [PDF]
The generalized minimum spanning tree problem is a generalization of the minimum spanning tree problem. This network design problems finds several practical applications, especially when one considers the design of a large-capacity backbone network ...

Bioengineered Interfaces for Peripheral Nerve Sensory Restoration
Half of amputees abandon their prosthetics for lack of feeling. This review charts the full path from peripheral nerve injury to restored sensation, through surgical, regenerative, noninvasive, and implanted approaches, and shows how injury type and interface material properties determine which strategy can deliver naturalistic feedback, and why ...

Self-adaptive cuckoo search algorithm for hybrid flowshop makespan problem
As a typical NP-hard combination optimization problem, the hybrid flow shop widely exists in manufacturing systems. In this paper, a mathematical model of hybrid flow shop is formulated, and then a new encoding and decoding method based on matrix is ...

A DeepMD‐based molecular dynamics framework is developed to investigate water adsorption in ZIF‐90, explicitly accounting for framework flexibility. Results show that atomistic flexibility significantly influences adsorption energetics, diffusion, and structural correlations, yielding nearly constant heat of adsorption and enhanced mobility.

A hybrid adaptive large neighborhood search algorithm applied to a lot-sizing problem
This paper presents a hybrid of a general heuristic framework that has been successfully applied to vehicle routing problems and a general purpose MIP solver. The framework uses local search and an adaptive procedure which choses between a set of large neighborhoods to be searched.
