Associative Recognition in ADCC
1982In ADCC, recognition of the target cells is mediated by IgG antibodies. Available evidence also suggests that target cell lysis is triggered by the interaction of Fc structures of the inducing IgG with the Fcγ-receptors of the killer cell (1). Target cell recognition and triggering of lysis would thus appear to be linked but independent reactions.
