Isopolar Phosphonate Analogue of Adenosine Diphosphate Ribose
Organic Letters, 2004[structure: see text] The synthesis of the bisphosphonate ADP-ribose, in which acetylene has replaced the oxygen of the pyrophosphate linkage, is reported.

Poly(adenosine diphosphate ribose)
1982Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the higher-order structure of poly(adenosine diphosphate ribose) [poly(ADPR)], poly(ADPR) polymerase purification and its properties, and molecular mechanisms of histone- and elongation-factor (EF-2)-ADP-ribosylation.

Presence and turnover of adenosine diphosphate ribose in human erythrocytes
Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 1992ADP-ribose was detected in human red blood cells (RBC) at 0.45 +/- 0.1 microM concentrations. These levels could be estimated after purification of ADP-ribose by means of three sequential HPLC fractionations of RBC extracts. Extraction was performed by sonication of RBC either in trichloroacetic acid, followed by centrifugation, or in carbonate ...

Poly(adenosine diphosphate ribose)
1973Publisher Summary This chapter discusses that incorporation of radioactivity of (adenine- 14 C) ATP into the acid insoluble material in a nuclear preparation from hen liver is enhanced at least 1000-fold by the presence of NMN. It is confirmed that this stimulation: using a nuclear preparation from rat liver.

Studies on anti-poly(adenosine diphosphate ribose) antibody
Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 1974Summary Specific antibody against poly(ADP-Rib) was produced in a rabbit by injecting poly(ADP-Rib) mixed with methylated bovine serum albumin. Under standardized conditions, 1 mg of purified anti-poly(ADP-Rib) antibody combined with 400 pmoles (4 μg) of poly(ADP-Rib) and was retained on a millipore filter.

Poly(adenosine diphosphate ribose) glycohydrolase in Physarum polycephalum
Archives of Biochemistry and Biophysics, 1976Abstract Poly(adenosine diphosphate ribose) glycohydrolase, which has thus far only been found in mammalian tissues, was found for the first time in the primitive eukaryotic slime mold Physarum polycephalum. The hydrolytic product of poly(adenosine diphosphate ribose) with this enzyme was identified as adenosine diphosphate ribose by paper and thin ...

Cyclic adenosine diphosphate-ribose (cADPR) and ADPR were separated by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) on a CarboPac PA-1 column at strong basic pH and quantitated by a pulsed amperometric detector. Although this HPLC method was quite sensitive and highly reproducible, it did not allow the separation of cADPR from guanosine monophosphate (

Noncovalent interactions of poly(adenosine diphosphate ribose) with histones
Biochemistry, 1992Covalent linkage of ADP-ribose polymers to proteins is generally considered essential for the posttranslational modification of protein function by poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation. Here we demonstrate an alternative way by which ADP-ribose polymers may modify protein function.

Nonenzymic adenosine 5'-diphosphate ribosylation of poly(adenosine diphosphate ribose).
Biochemistry, 1986Poly(adenosine 5'-diphosphate ribose) [poly(ADP-ribose]) is spontaneously ADP-ribosylated when it is incubated with nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, especially in 0.5 M NaCl and at an alkaline pH. The ADP-ribose residues are monomeric and are attached to the middle of polymer chains.

Characterization of polymers of adenosine diphosphate ribose generated in vitro and in vivo
Biochemistry, 1987Methods have been developed and applied to determine the size and branching frequency of polymers of ADP-ribose synthesized in nucleotide-permeable cultured mouse cells and in intact cultured cells. Polymers were purified by affinity chromatography with a boronate resin and were fractionated according to size molecular sieve high-performance liquid ...
