Evaluación del Cambio en la Musculatura y Adiposidad y su Relación con la Recurrencia del Carcinoma de Cabeza y Cuello mediante PET/CT y MRI [PDF]
This study investigates the impact of changes in body composition and follow-up imaging modalities on recurrence and prognosis in patients with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). The results indicate that an increase in the adiposity index post-radiotherapy is significantly associated with higher recurrence and mortality rates. Additionally,

Attention GhostUNet++: Enhanced Segmentation of Adipose Tissue and Liver in CT Images [PDF]
Accurate segmentation of abdominal adipose tissue, including subcutaneous (SAT) and visceral adipose tissue (VAT), along with liver segmentation, is essential for understanding body composition and associated health risks such as type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

Abstract Objective To analyze independent risk factors for endometrial cancer (EC), a common female cancer globally, and construct individualized prediction models for EC recurrence. Methods The EC patients from the medical record system were divided into low‐grade (n = 392) and high‐grade (n = 183) groups.

Our study provides a comprehensive multi‐omics profile of aging, integrating proteomic, metabolomic, and metagenomic analyses across diverse tissues and plasma. We identified the synergistic amplification of the circulating complement system and tissue‐wide immunoglobulin accumulation as key molecular drivers of inflammaging.

Left: The disruption of the balance between carcinogenic bacteria and probiotics mediated by antibiotics, protein, and glucose intake. Middle: The gut microbiota‐derived amino acids, primarily through tryptophan, tyrosine, arginine, and branched‐chain amino acid pathways, regulate glioma development via mechanisms such as AHR activation, metabolic ...

C. fragile extract (CFE) is effective in inducing weight loss and suppressing adipocyte differentiation, along with the improvement of obesity‐associated fatty liver in mice fed with a high‐fat diet (HFD). Abstract Codium fragile (C. fragile) is a marine alga with high functional food potential. Recent studies have proven C.

Crown-Like Structures in Breast Adipose Tissue: Finding a 'Needle-in-a-Haystack' using Artificial Intelligence and Collaborative Active Learning on the Web [PDF]
Crown-like structures (CLS) in breast adipose tissue are formed as a result of macrophages clustering around necrotic adipocytes in specific patterns. As a histologic marker of local inflammation, CLS could have potential diagnostic utility as a biomarker for breast cancer risk.

Illuminating Immunity: A Systematic Review of Immune Cell Autofluorescence
ABSTRACT Immunophenotyping provides valuable prognostic and diagnostic information, but is technically complex and expensive. The assessment of autofluorescence is label‐free and provides complex information on cell identity. However, research on its application to immunophenotyping has been heterogenous.

Abstract Bacterial coldwater disease (BCWD), caused by Flavobacterium psychrophilum, results in significant losses among multiple salmonid (family Salmonidae) species. Molecular epidemiology and serotyping studies have suggested that some variants are host specific; however, these associations have not been evaluated by cross‐challenging fish species ...
