Seven days of warm‐water immersion enhances resting irisin and BDNF, but not klotho, in older men
Abstract We examined whether seven consecutive days of warm‐water immersion could elevate resting and exercise‐induced levels of brain‐derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), irisin and klotho in older adults. These biomarkers support cognitive and metabolic health, but their levels decline with age.

Cannabinoid exposure during pregnancy: Cardiorespiratory effects and offspring outcomes
Abstract figure legend Prenatal exposure to cannabinoids has been investigated across human and animal studies to understand its impact on physiological development. Evidence suggests that early‐life cannabinoid exposure influence multiple developmental processes, extending beyond neurodevelopmental outcomes to potentially affect placental function ...

ABSTRACT Objective Anorexia nervosa (AN) is a severe psychiatric disorder displaying an altered gut microbiome. Faecal microbiome transplantation (FMT) has emerged as a powerful research tool and potential treatment option in AN due to the microbiome‐gut‐brain axis. Current studies are limited and reveal variable FMT protocols.

Microglial IL‐1β deletion improves acute outcome and reduces neutrophil recruitment after experimental ischemic stroke. Microglial IL‐1β deletion increases neurogenesis in the subventricular zone after experimental ischemic stroke. ABSTRACT Interleukin‐1 (IL‐1) signaling is a major driver of post‐ischemic neuroinflammation, yet the cell‐ and isoform ...

Implications of adult hippocampal neurogenesis in antidepressant action
In the dentate gyrus of the hippocampus, cell birth and maturation into neurons, or neurogenesis, occur throughout the lifetime of animals and humans. Multiple factors have been shown to regulate adult neurogenesis, and a number of findings in this field have had a large impact on basic and clinical research in depression.
