t(4;11) leukemias display addiction to MLL-AF4 but not to AF4-MLL [PDF]
The most frequent MLL-gene rearrangement found in leukemia is a reciprocal translocation with AF4 on chromosome 4 resulting in the formation of the MLL-AF4 and the AF4-MLL fusion genes. The oncogenic role of MLL-AF4 is documented but the significance of the reciprocal product - AF4-MLL in leukemia is less clear.

Structural Profiling of Lipid Nanoparticles at Sub-10 nm Resolution via AF4 Coupled Online to SAXS and SANS. [PDF]
Dilution‐controlled AF4 coupled with SAXS and, for the first time, SANS enables high‐resolution characterization of non‐spherical lipid nanoparticles. Enhanced scattering contrast and D2O‐based measurements resolve particle features down to ∼5 nm and reveal shape distributions.

Interaction of AF4 wild-type and AF4·MLL fusion protein with SIAH proteins: indication for t(4;11) pathobiology? [PDF]
The human AF4 (ALL-1 fused gene on chromosome 4) gene (4q11) is recurrently involved in reciprocal translocations to the MLL (mixed lineage leukemia) gene (11q23), correlated with high-risk acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) in infants and early childhood. The t(4;11) translocation is one of the most frequent MLL translocations known today. In general,

Concurrent MLL-AF4+ infant ALL in monozygotic twins: a case report [PDF]
Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is the most common malignancy in childhood, but it is relatively rare in infants. However, infant ALL exhibits distinct biological characteristics and an aggressive course, with a high proportion of cases involving MLL ...

Cardio-renal protection and mechanisms of the antihypertensive activity of Alcalase-derived moth bean hydrolysate in DOCA-salt induced hypertensive Wistar rats [PDF]
Hypertension remains a major global health concern, often leading to severe cardiovascular and renal complications. In this study, we investigated the antihypertensive and cardiorenal protective effects of AF4, a bioactive Alcalase derived peptide ...

Alcalase–Flavourzyme Red Seaweed Hydrolysates as Antioxidants to Enhance Oxidative Stability of DHA Nanoemulsions [PDF]
This study evaluated Palmaria palmata hydrolysates produced using Alcalase® and Flavourzyme® at 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 10% (w/w biomass protein, corresponding to AF1-10), and their performance in oil-in-water nanoemulsions under iron-induced oxidation.

Enhanced Contour-Deviant Mismatch Negativity and Mnemonic Representations in Older Musicians. [PDF]
Data showed enhanced MMN amplitudes in aging adult musicians compared with nonmusicians. Given that enhancements in MMN responses may be an indicator of preserved sensory processing in aging, music training may insulate age‐related decreases in sensory processing through preserved fidelity of encoding auditory information.

Understanding the Phenotypic Heterogeneity Within the Sporadic Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease MV1 Subtype. [PDF]
We present the clinical, pathological and prion biophysical features of three atypical cases of the MV1 subtype of sporadic Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease (sCJD). We propose that these heterozygous cases exist on a spectrum ranging from MM1‐like to VV1‐like phenotypes and recommend that subtyping be performed at pH 6.9 to avoid missing atypical or mixed ...
