Structure‐guided optimization of SLY1 expression and purification in Escherichia coli
Abstract The SCFSLY1 ubiquitin ligase complex is a key regulator of gibberellin signaling, mediating the degradation of DELLA proteins through targeted ubiquitination. To enable detailed biochemical and structural studies of this complex, efficient recombinant production of SLY1 and its adaptor ASK1 is essential.

Virus‐enabled reverse genetics (VERG) enables transient gene expression modulation in plants but its efficacy varies across species. We evaluated the efficacy of barley stripe mosaic virus (BSMV) and foxtail mosaic virus (FoMV) for virus‐induced gene silencing (VIGS) and virus‐mediated overexpression (VOX) in rice (Oryza sativa).

SDE4250 suppressed 26S proteasome activity by targeting CsRPN10 and enhancing its degradation via the proteasome pathway. This impairment of proteasome function subsequently attenuates SA‐mediated defence responses, thereby increasing citrus susceptibility to promote CLas infection.

Engineering the 3′‐UTR of Tobacco Vein Mottling Virus to Confer Cross‐Protection Against Potyviruses
The 3′‐untranslated region (3′‐UTR) and its secondary structure of virus genomic RNA of tobacco vein mottling virus (TVMV) are important in symptoms attenuation, which can be engineered for cross‐protection against further viral infection. We provide experimental evidence that supports the roles of 3′‐UTR in potyvirus infection.

This study reveals a tripartite pesticide–pathogen–host interaction in which the host kinase CDPK7‐like in Nicotiana benthamiana interacts with cucumber mosaic virus coat protein (CMV CP) to form LLPS‐driven condensates that facilitate viral infection.

RSV p2 binds Lsm1, disrupting Lsm1‐Lsm4 association and impairing decapping‐dependent mRNA decay in P‐bodies, leading to the accumulation of unstable mRNAs and enhanced RSV infection. ABSTRACT Processing bodies (P‐bodies) play central roles in RNA metabolism and in the regulation of viral infection.

The ‘Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus’ secreted protein SDE525 suppresses the plant jasmonic acid defence pathway by targeting the citrus NACα protein, thereby weakening citrus resistance against the Asian citrus psyllid. ABSTRACT Citrus huanglongbing (HLB), caused by the phloem‐limited bacterium ‘Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus’ (CLas), is one of ...
