Elucidating the Fe(III) Directed 15‐Step Domino Inter‐ and Intramolecular Progressive Coordinative Oligomerization of a Heterocycle Aggregate

open access: yesAggregate, EarlyView.
A domino reaction leading to the novel heterocyclic aggregate 2,9‐dihydrobenzo[b]cyclopenta[e][1,4]thiazine has been developed, with its mechanism elucidated by crystallography and ESI‐MS to reveal a 15‐step reaction sequence (the longest reported to date) involving intermolecular C‐C coupling and intramolecular expansion.

Amide Chemistry Enables Redox Locking of Cyclic Disulfides for Polypeptide Assembly

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
The stability of a family of cyclic dichalcogenides derived from cysteine is significantly enhanced against reductants upon acylation of the alpha‐amino group. Amide formation serves as a redox lock, offering a mechanism to achieve selectivity in the assembly of large cyclic polypeptides on a water‐compatible solid support.

Density Functional Theory–Spectroscopy Integrated Identification Method Encompassing Experimental and Theoretical Analyses for Designer Drug Stimulants

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
A novel approach integrates gas chromatography‐mass spectrometry with infrared, Raman, and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy plus density functional theory to detect synthetic drugs. Quantum hyperpolarization further boosts NMR sensitivity for low‐concentration samples, improving detection accuracy in complex mixtures and offering promising ...

Synthesis of (−)‐8a‐epi‐Lentiginosine via Tsuji–Trost Reaction of d‐Glucose‐Derived Allylic Alcohols and Crystal Structure Analysis

open access: yesAsian Journal of Organic Chemistry, EarlyView.
A facile synthetic route to (−)‐8a‐epi‐lentiginosine from d‐glucose using the Pd‐BiPhePhos catalyzed intramolecular Tsuji–Trost reaction of non−derivatized allylic alcohol as a key construction of the hydroxylated pyrrolidine ring is reported. The crystal structure of (−)‐8a‐epi‐lentiginosne showed the envelope conformation of the five‐membered ring ...

N‐Insertion of Diazonium Salts Into Ketone Derivatives

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Diazonium salts insert into ketones and their silyl enol ethers through a sequence of α‐azenylation and ring expansion via an N‐iminoaziridinium species. Coupled with an efficient N‐N bond cleavage, this protocol offers a mild alternative to Beckmann rearrangements and a powerful tool for skeletal editing of ketones.

Ir‐Catalyzed Sulfur‐Directed Vinylic C─H Activation for the Stereoselective Synthesis of 1,3‐Dienes Using Alkynoates

open access: yesAsian Journal of Organic Chemistry, EarlyView.
Ir‐catalyzed sulfur‐directed C─H alkenylation of alkynoates proceeded by using aryl methallyl sulfides. When DMAD was employed, 1,3‐dienes were initially formed and subsequently underwent thermal 1,5‐sigmatropic rearrangement to yield secondary products with high stereoselectivitiy.
