Bacillus velezensis Enhances the Resistance of Wheat Against Cd Stress via Reprogramming Metabolite Production

open access: yesFood and Energy Security, Volume 15, Issue 3, May/June 2026.
ABSTRACT Cadmium (Cd) pollution poses a serious threat to crop yields and plant health. As a bacterium that promotes plant growth, Bacillus velezensis has been proven to promote plant growth under non‐biological coercive conditions. However, the molecular mechanism of B. velezensis‐mediated Cd toxicity alleviation of wheat is still not well understood.

Metabolic Reprogramming Analysis of Wheat Response to Low Temperature Stress Under Nitrogen Supply

open access: yesFood and Energy Security, Volume 15, Issue 3, May/June 2026.
Low temperature stress triggers a defense network that maintains growth at the expense of inhibiting photosynthesis and chlorophyll synthesis. Temperature recovery effectively repairs low temperature‐induced damage and enhances stress resistance, while nitrogen supply can further augment these protective processes to strengthen cold tolerance ...

Endophytic Bacillus subtilis GUCC4 Enhances Passion Fruit Seedling Tolerance to Low‐Temperature Stress

open access: yesFood and Energy Security, Volume 15, Issue 3, May/June 2026.
ABSTRACT Passion fruit (Passiflora edulis Sims) is a popular fruit favored by consumers due to its unique taste and health properties around the world. Moreover, it serves as an important source of bioactive compounds, making it highly valuable for industrial exploitation. However, its growth and development are highly susceptible to cold stress, which

Integrative Metabolomic and Transcriptomic Profiling Reveals the Chemical and Molecular Basis for Aroma Divergence in Isatis Fruits

open access: yesFood Frontiers, Volume 7, Issue 3, May 2026.
Integrative metabolomic and transcriptomic analyses revealed the chemical and molecular basis of aroma divergence in fruits of three Isatis species. Distinct volatile profiles and 44 key aroma‐active compounds defined species‐specific sensory characteristics, while co‐expression analysis identified NAC transcription factors and lipid‐derived pathway ...

Comprehensive Flavor Profiling of Dairy Products Using Electronic Tongue: Discrimination Based on Processing Parameters and Formulations

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 5, May 2026.
The E‐tongue combined with sensory and chemical analysis effectively discriminated fresh milk and yoghurt based on processing parameters and formulations. Astringency emerged as the key predictor for quality control. ABSTRACT Flavor is a critical determinant of consumer acceptance for dairy products. However, objectively deconvoluting the contributions

Comparative Effect of African Walnut Oil and Docosahexaenoic Acid on Hematological and Oxidative Stress Markers of Female Wistar Rats With 7,12‐Dimethylbenz[a]anthracene‐Induced Breast Cancer

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 5, May 2026.
African walnut oil and docosahexaenoic acid administration to female Wistar rats with DMBA‐induced breast cancer may delay tumor growth, increase white blood cells, platelets and mean corpuscular hemoglobin counts in the blood. DMBA significantly lowers red blood cells, hemoglobin levels, and protein concentration.
