Cytochromes c550, c552, c1 in the electron transport network of Paracoccus denitrificans: redundant or subtly different in function? [PDF]
Paracoccus denitrificans strains with mutations in the genes encoding the cytochrome c550, c552, or c1 and in combinations of these genes were constructed, and their growth characteristics were determined.

Potential role of NADPH-oxidase in early steps of lead-induced oxidative burst in Vicia faba roots [PDF]
The mechanism of oxidative burst induced by lead in Vicia faba excised roots was investigated by luminol-dependent chemiluminescence. Results showed that lead triggered a rapid and dose-dependent increase in chemiluminescence production.

Macrocyclic colibactin induces DNA double-strand breaks via copper-mediated oxidative cleavage. [PDF]
Colibactin is an assumed human gut bacterial genotoxin, whose biosynthesis is linked to the clb genomic island that has a widespread distribution in pathogenic and commensal human enterobacteria.

Probing the Molecular Mechanisms in Copper Amine Oxidases by Generating Heterodimers [PDF]
For some homodimeric copper amine oxidases (CuAO), there is suggestive evidence of differential activity at the two active sites implying potential cooperativity between the two monomers.

Interaction of plant amine oxidases with diaminoethers [PDF]
Polyamines are ubiquitous compounds, which are involved in crucial physiological events including cell growth and differentiation. The catabolic oxidative degradation of polyamines is catalyzed by quinoprotein copper-containing amine oxidases (CAOs ...
