Converting a Sulfenic Acid Reductase into a Disulfide Bond Isomerase [PDF]
Aims: Posttranslational formation of disulfide bonds is essential for the folding of many secreted proteins. Formation of disulfide bonds in a protein with more than two cysteines is inherently fraught with error and can result in incorrect disulfide ...

Plasmid‐like DNA sequences frequently found in bovine milk and serum have been proposed as infectious agents promoting indirect carcinogenesis. This multi‐omics study detected immune cells positive for these bovine meat and milk factors (BMMFs) in patients with lung cancer, with BMMF expression inversely correlated with smoking intensity.

Enantioselective Synthesis of a Tricyclic, sp³‐Rich Diazatetradecanedione: an Amino Acid‐Based Natural Product‐Like Scaffold [PDF]
6‐, 7‐, and 8‐membered rings are assembled from a linear precursor by successive cyclisation reactions to construct a tricyclic diazatricyclo[6.5.1.0⁴,⁹]‐tetradecanedione scaffold. Advanced building blocks based on d‐aspartic acid and l‐pyroglutamic acid

The gut–mammary axis integrates intestinal health with mammary function through neural, endocrine, and immune pathways. Nutritional interventions (probiotics, prebiotics, metabolites) improve gut microecology, generating microbial signals that travel via the axis to the mammary gland. There, they relieve inflammation, enhance milk quality and lactation,

ABSTRACT Top‐down proteomics (TDP) characterizes proteoforms in cells, tissues, and biofluids, in discovery mode and on a global scale, requiring analytical tools with high peak capacity for proteoform separation and high sensitivity for proteoform detection, given the extremely high proteoform complexity and wide proteoform concentration dynamic range.

A novel peptidyl-prolyl cisltrans isomerase from Escherichia coli
A novel peptidyl-prolyl cis/trans isomerase was isolated from Escherichia coli cell extract and characterized partially. Determination of the molecular mass by electrospray mass spectrometry indicated a protein of 10102 ± 2 Da, smaller than cyclophilins ...

Review of Congenital Myasthenic Syndrome Caused by Pathogenic Variants in GFPT1
ABSTRACT Glutamine:fructose‐6‐phosphate transaminase 1 (GFPT1) catalyzes the first and rate‐limiting step of the hexosamine biosynthetic pathway (HBP) to generate UDP‐GlcNAc. GFPT1 exon 9 is specifically spliced in in striated muscles, which makes a long isoform of GFPT1 (GFPT1‐L).
