Metabolites of Trichoderma longibrachiatum EF5 inhibits soil borne pathogen, Macrophomina phaseolina by Triggering amino sugar metabolism.

Microbial Pathogenesis, 2020
An endophytic fungal antagonist Trichoderma longibrachiatum EF5 exhibited biocontrol activity against a soil-borne fungal pathogen Macrophomina phaseolina. Under dual co-culture, T. longibrachiatum EF5 showed 58% inhibition against M. phaseolina.

Comparing microbial transformation of maize residue‐N and fertilizer‐N in soil using amino sugar‐specific 15N analysis

European Journal of Soil Science, 2019
In agroecosystems, both fertilizer‐nitrogen (N) and crop residue‐N make important contributions to soil‐N retention. However, how different N sources are dynamically involved in microbial processes and how they govern soil‐N transformations is poorly ...

Kinetics of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural formation in the sugar-amino acid model of Maillard reaction.

The Journal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, 2018
BACKGROUND As a potential health hazard, 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) has been detected in thermally processed foods high in sugar and amino acids. In order to analyze HMF quantitatively and investigate the kinetics of its formation, high-performance ...
