Pyridinium N-heteroarylaminides: synthesis of N-heteroaryltetramines based on 1,6-bis(phenoxy)hexane and 1,3-bis(phenoxymethyl)benzene [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The synthesis of a set of new N-heteroaryltetramines is reported. A regioselective alkylation on the N-exo nitrogen of pyridinium N-(heteroaryl)aminide with the corresponding tetrabromo compounds, followed by a clean N–N bond reduction of the ...

A Sustainable Borrowing Hydrogen Strategy in Natural Deep Eutectic Solvents for the N‐Alkylation of Amines From Alcohols

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, Volume 29, Issue 16, 25 April 2026.
A sustainable, ligand‐free Pd‐catalyzed borrowing hydrogen protocol in a biodegradable hydrophobic natural deep eutectic solvent (NADES) (thymol/DL‐menthol) enables the N‐alkylation of primary amines with benzylic alcohols under mild, aerobic conditions, allowing efficient reuse of both catalyst and solvent for seven consecutive cycles. The hydrophobic

A NEW ROUTE FOR THE SYNTHESIS OF 2 AMINOPYRIDINES

open access: yesScientific Study & Research: Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Food Industry, 2011
The 2-aminopyridines constitute a very large class of nitrogen heterocycles, which have a great biological activity, such as the antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and analgesics activity, as well as the 2-amino-4-(4-chlorophenyl)-5-oxo-5,6,7,8 ...

Structural diversity of different aminomethylpyridinium hexafluoridosilicates

open access: yesActa Chimica Slovenica
A series of new aminomethylpyridinium hexafluoridosilicate salts with the formula (RH)2[SiF6] (where R = 2-amino-3-methylpyridine (1), 2-amino-4-methylpyridine (2), 2-amino-5-methylpyridine (3) and 2-amino-6-methylpyridine (4)) were prepared by the ...

Antimicrobial and antioxidative activities of 1-adamantylthio derivatives of 3-substituted pyridines [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Diverse biological activities of sulfur containing pyridines were reported. To investigate for new lead compounds, thus, 1-adamantylthiopyridines bearing 3-substituents (OEt, OAc, NAc2, Br and OH) were prepared and evaluated for antimicrobial and ...

Two new zinc(II) acetates with 3- and 4-aminopyridine [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
The synthesis and characterization of two new zinc(II) coordination compounds with 3- and 4-aminopyridine are reported. They were obtained after adding a water solution of $Zn(CH_3COO)_2$ · $2H_2O$ or dissolving solid $Zn(CH_3COO)_2$ · $2H_2O$ in ...

Regiodivergent C3 and C4 Amination of Quinolines via Radical and Ionic Pathways

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 16, 13 April 2026.
A regiodivergent strategy converts a single N‐aminoquinolinium precursor into either C3‐ or C4‐aminated quinolines. Nucleophile‐induced dearomatization diverges into light‐driven N‐centered radical capture (C3) or base‐promoted SNAr (C4), enabling rapid assembly of aminoquinoline libraries and late‐stage diversification.

Presence of Nitrites, Nitrates, Nitrosamines in the Eggs of Intensively raised Layers in Abeokuta, Nigeria [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
In this study, the presence and concentrations of nitrosamines and their precursors (nitrates and nitrites) in raw table eggs obtained from four layer-farms in Abeokuta, were analysed.

Characteristics of weak base-induced vacuoles formed around individual acidic organelles

open access: yesFolia Histochemica et Cytobiologica, 2011
We have previously found that the weak base 4-aminopyridine induces Brownian motion of acidic organelles around which vacuoles are formed, causing organelle traffic disorder in neurons.

Cellular and circuit mechanisms underlying spinocerebellar ataxias [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Degenerative ataxias are a common form of neurodegenerative disease that affect about 20 individuals per 100,000. The autosomal dominant spinocerebellar ataxias (SCAs) are caused by a variety of protein coding mutations (single nucleotide changes ...
