Elevated Serum Aminotransferases Secondary to Rippling Muscle Disease

open access: yesCase Reports in Gastroenterology, 2013
A 43-year-old man was referred by his general practitioner to the hepatology clinic with deranged serum aminotransferases, discovered as part of routine blood tests.

Aminotransferases activity in the hemolymph of Bradybaena similaris (Gastropoda, Xanthonychidae) under starvation

open access: yesMemorias do Instituto Oswaldo Cruz, 2001
Aminotransferases (GOT and GPT) activities in the hemolymph of Bradybaena similaris under experimental condition of starvation were studied. At the 10th day of starvation, GOT activity was 416.6% higher than that observed in the fed snails, being reduced

Aminotransferases in tissues of in piglets cecum

open access: yesRUDN Journal of Agronomy and Animal Industries, 2013
Defined the aminotransferases in the tissues of the three parts of the intestines (proximal and medial and distal) at growing of pigs. Different character of age changes of enzymes activity in tissues of piglets was detected.

Improved l-Leucine Production in Corynebacterium glutamicum by Optimizing the Aminotransferases

open access: yesMolecules, 2018
The production of branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) is still challenging, therefore we rationally engineered Corynebacterium glutamicum FA-1 to increase the l-leucine production by optimizing the aminotransferases.

Kynurenine aminotransferase and α-aminoadipate aminotransferase: III. Evidence for identity with halogenated tyrosine aminotransferase [PDF]

open access: yesLife Sciences, 1978
Abstract A nearly homogeneous preparation of α-aminoadipate (kynurenine) aminotransferase exhibited substantial activity with 3,5-diiodo-L-tyrosine, a major substrate for halogenated tyrosine aminotransferase. The new activity was found, according to heat inactivation and several inhibition studies, not to be attributable to contamination.

Association of the IL-37 Polymorphisms with Transaminases and Alkaline Phosphatase Levels in Premature Coronary Artery Disease Patients and Healthy Controls. Results of the Genetics of Atherosclerotic (GEA) Mexican Study

open access: yesDiagnostics, 2021
Interleukin 37 (IL-37) is an anti-inflammatory cytokine expressed in foam cells located in the atherosclerosis plaques. The present study aimed to evaluate the association of the IL-37 polymorphisms with premature coronary artery disease (pCAD ...

Salicylate and aminotransferases

open access: yesJournal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology, 1965
Abstract Enzymic transfer of the amino-group of each of 20 amino-acids to α-oxoglutarate has been studied using lyophilised extracts of rat heart, liver, brain, kidney and skeletal muscle as enzyme source. The glutamate produced was estimated from the carbon dioxide liberated by a bacterial decarboxylase in an autoanalyser.

The AST/ALT (De Ritis) Ratio Predicts Survival in Patients with Oral and Oropharyngeal Cancer

open access: yesDiagnostics, 2020
Aminotransaminases, including aspartate aminotransaminase (AST) and alanine aminotransaminase (ALT), are strongly involved in cancer cell metabolism and have been associated with prognosis in different types of cancer.
