Investigation of Initial Lithiation of Silicon (100) Using Solid-State 7Li NMR
Structural changes in amorphous LixSi during the initial lithiation of single crystal Si to amorphous LixSi were investigated as a function of Li flux and total charge using solid-state 7Li nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy.

Cermets (60 vol.% AISI 316L stainless steel, 40 vol.% recycled MgO), intended for use in aluminum electrolysis, were pre‐oxidized in three furnaces with different heating technologies and subjected to a cryolite corrosion test. The different atmospheres influenced the formation of oxide layers, which in turn affected corrosion resistance and ...

Superglass Phase of Helium-four
We study different solid phases of Helium-four, by means of Path Integral Monte Carlo simulations based on a recently developed "worm" algorithm. Our study includes simulations that start off from a high-T gas phase, which is then "quenched" down to T=0 ...

Absence of a Zero Temperature Vortex Solid Phase in Strongly Disordered Superconducting Bi Films
We present low temperature measurements of the resistance in magnetic field of superconducting ultrathin amorphous Bi films with normal state sheet resistances, $R_N$, near the resistance quantum, $R_Q={\hbar\over {e^2}}$.
