MFPD: A Multiple Fungal Pathogen Detection Pipeline Across Diverse Habitats

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The MFPD pipeline integrates a comprehensive ITS reference database of fungal pathogens, optimized parameters, and algorithms tailored for both full‐length and subregion sequences that balance accuracy and computational efficiency; it enables high‐throughput, species‐level identification from amplicon sequencing data, supporting large‐scale ...

Analyses of MYMIV-induced transcriptome in Vigna mungo as revealed by next generation sequencing

open access: yesGenomics Data, 2016
Mungbean Yellow Mosaic Virus (MYMIV) is the viral pathogen that causes yellow mosaic disease to a number of legumes including Vigna mungo. VM84 is a recombinant inbred line resistant to MYMIV, developed in our laboratory through introgression of ...

Cigarette Smoke‐Induced Alveolar Macrophage Senescence via GEM/SIRT3‐Mediated Mitochondrial Dysfunction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cigarette smoke accelerates the aging of immune cells in the lung. By combining human single‐cell sequencing, cell culture, and mouse models, the authors show that the protein GEM drives mitochondrial damage and senescence in alveolar macrophages by suppressing SIRT3.

Constraints to virus infection in Nicotiana benthamiana plants transformed with a potyvirus amplicon

open access: yesBMC Plant Biology, 2010
Background Plant genomes have been transformed with full-length cDNA copies of viral genomes, giving rise to what has been called 'amplicon' systems, trying to combine the genetic stability of transgenic plants with the elevated replication rate of plant

Comparisons between deep amplicon alleles and metagenome data, sequenced genomes, and higher-temperature amplicon data.

open access: yes, 2018
(A) Distributions of the number of substitutions to the nearest deep read from the high and low-temperature MS metagenome (downward triangle) and OS metagenome (upward triangle); from the two full genomes (circles), and from the high-temperature MS ...

The BnTFL1‐BnJAM3‐BnSWEETs Module Orchestrates Seed Storage Reserve Accumulation in Brassica napus

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
BnaC03.TFL1 and BnaA01.JAM3 form a complex that facilitates the transport of soluble sugars from the seed coat to the embryo by directly activating the expression of BnSWEETs. Furthermore, BnaC03.TFL1 and BnaA01.JAM3 work cooperatively to promote soluble sugar and oil production while suppressing protein deposition.

Development and application of a whole genome amplicon sequencing method for infectious salmon anemia virus (ISAV)

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology
Infectious salmon anemia (ISA) is an infectious disease primarily affecting farmed Atlantic salmon, Salmo salar, which is caused by the ISA virus (ISAV). ISAV belongs to the Orthomyxoviridae family. The disease is a serious condition resulting in reduced

Gene amplification: mechanisms and involvement in cancer

open access: yesBiomolecular Concepts, 2013
Gene amplification was recognized as a physiological process during the development of Drosophila melanogaster. Intriguingly, mammalian cells use this mechanism to overexpress particular genes for survival under stress, such as during exposure to ...
