This study aimed to investigate the effects of cellulase and Lactobacillus plantarum on the silage quality, in situ digestibility, and microbial communities of apple pomace silage. The combined supplementation of cellulase and Lactobacillus plantarum in apple pomace silage improved fermentation quality and enhanced rumen utilization efficiency.

Dietary fiber (DF) modulates meat quality through the gut‐muscle axis by reshaping gut microbiota, improving intestinal integrity, reducing inflammation, and regulating muscle metabolism. These mechanisms influence muscle fiber characteristics and post‐mortem biochemistry, thereby enhancing tenderness, juiciness, color, flavor, and nutritional value of

A field-test for determining the speed obtained through anaerobic glycolysis in runners
A field test for the evaluation of the speed generated by the anaerobic lactacid mechanism has been developed in runners. The test consists of 1200 m of continuous running: in the first 1000 m the speed correstponding to the anaerobic threshold is ...

Neurovascular coupling in bone regeneration: Mechanisms, advanced biomaterials and challenges
This figure illustrates various material strategies for neurovascularized bone regeneration, including electroactive scaffolds, ion‐loaded materials, drug delivery systems, surface modifications, cells/cell products, growth factors, and peptides. These approaches aim to synergistically promote the regeneration of neural, vascular, and bone tissues ...

Biochemical Difference of Tissues of Gastric Cancer between Lesser and Greater Curvatures Part 1 On Tissue Respiration, Aerobic and Anaerobic Glycolysis [PDF]
Cases of gastric cancer were classified into two types, i.e. the localized and infiltrating ones. Specimens were taken from the cancer and the neighbouring part of it on sides of the greater and the lesser curvatures, and tissue respiration, aerobic and ...

Ischemic contracture begins when anaerobic glycolysis stops: a 31P-NMR study of isolated rat hearts
The relationships among myocardial ATP, intracellular pH, and ischemic contracture in Langendorff-perfused rat hearts were investigated by 31P nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy during total global normothermic ischemia while the left ventricular ...

Abstract The sea anemone, Nematostella vectensis, has been used as a model organism in developmental biology studies for many years. This estuarine species has the notable capacity to regenerate its full body plan from small pieces throughout life. Nematostella have been described as having a great degree of cellular plasticity.
