Angiopoietin-like-4 is a potential angiogenic mediator in arthritis

open access: yes, 2005
Our previous studies of gene expression profiling during collagen-induced arthritis (CIA) indicated that the putative angiogenic factor Angptl4 was one of the most highly expressed mRNAs early in disease.

Affinity Proteomics‐Based Non‐Invasive Detection of Clinically Significant Liver Disease

open access: yesAlimentary Pharmacology &Therapeutics, Volume 64, Issue 1, Page 74-88, July 2026.
Using UK Biobank proteomic data, we identified a five‐protein score reflecting hepatic stellate cell activation and hepatocellular injury that predicts major adverse liver outcomes and clinically significant fibrosis, with consistent performance validated in two independent cohorts (patients with HIV and alpha1‐antitrypsin deficiency).

Molecular Signatures of Peripheral and Central Dental Pulp Subpopulations in Response to Streptococcus mutans: A Bulk RNA‐Seq Analysis

open access: yesInternational Endodontic Journal, Volume 59, Issue 7, Page 1402-1415, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Aim The dental pulp is an immunologically active tissue that responds dynamically to cariogenic challenge. Peripheral pulp cells adjacent to dentine encounter bacterial stimuli earlier than cells located in the central pulp. To investigate signalling and immune interactions, this study profiled the transcriptomes of dentine‐adherent cells ...

The serum ANGPTL4 level and severe coronary artery calcification: from association to risk prediction using a nomogram

open access: yesFrontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine
BackgroundCoronary artery calcification (CAC) is an important indicator of atherosclerosis in the coronary arteries, the degree of which is closely associated with the risk for cardiovascular events.

Beyond Hemostasis: Platelet Biomarkers and Vascular‐Immune Crosstalk in Dengue

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 40, Issue 12, 30 June 2026.
Several biomarkers are associated with platelet activation during dengue virus (DENV) infection. These include serum markers (AST, ALT, ferritin), platelet surface or secreted molecules (P‐selectin, PF4, RANTES, VEGF‐A, CD40L, TREM‐1, TLT‐1), immune and endothelial markers (TREM‐1, Ang‐1, Ang‐2), and viral components such as DENV EIII.

Diverse roles of angiopoietin-like 4 : a literature review.

open access: yes, 2011
Angiopoietin-like (ANGPTL) proteins are a protein family structurally alike to angiopoietins, possessing analogous N-terminal coiled-coil and C-terminal fibrinogen-like domains (FLDs).
