Angiotensin II type 2 receptor effect on microvascular hydraulic permeability

Journal of Surgical Research, 2004
Angiotensin II (Ang II) is a potent vasoconstrictor that modulates microvascular permeability. Angiotensin II type 1 (AT1) and type 2 (AT2) receptors have been described with subsequent development of their respective antagonists. We hypothesized that the AT2 receptor modulates microvascular permeability.Hydraulic permeability (L(p)) was measured in ...

Role of Type 1 and Type 2 Angiotensin Receptors in Angiotensin II–Induced Cardiomyocyte Hypertrophy

Hypertension, 1996
We compared the ability of angiotensin II (Ang II) to induce hypertrophy of neonatal rat ventricular myocytes with that of endothelin-1. Over 72 hours, Ang II (1 μmol/L) increased the ratio of protein to DNA by less than 10%, whereas endothelin-1 (100 nmol/L) produced a 28% increase.

Type-1 and type-2 angiotensin II receptors in fetal rat brain

European Journal of Pharmacology, 1991
Brain angiotensin II receptors were located in 18-day-old rat embryos by quantitative autoradiography. In the nucleus of the solitary tract and choroid plexus, binding was displaced by the type-1 antagonist DuP 753. In the inferior olive, paratrigeminal and hypoglossal nuclei, binding was displaced by the type-2 antagonist CGP 42112 A.

Angiotensin II Type 2 Receptor (AT2R) in Glomerulogenesis

2019
