Antagonism of the Human Thromboxane A2 Receptor by an Anti-asthmatic Agent AA-2414.
The human thromboxane A2 receptor (TXA2-R)-coding gene was introduced into Chinese hamster ovary cells and a cell line (TCHO-25) stably expressing TXA2-R, at a level of 3 x 10(5)/cell, was obtained. An anti-asthmatic agent AA-2414 [(+-)-7-(3,5,6-trimethyl-1,4-benzoquinon-2-yl)-7- phenylheptanoic acid] competitively inhibited the specific binding of a ...

Research on and developmental strategy of anti-asthmatic agents

A Pharmacovigilance Study on Anti-Asthmatic Agent
Pharmacovigilance plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and efficacy of anti-asthmatic agents, including inhaled corticosteroids (ICS), long-acting beta-agonists (LABAs), and leukotriene receptor antagonists (LTRAs). This study evaluates adverse drug reactions (ADRs) associated with these medications, emphasizing their clinical impact, risk ...

An Efficient Synthesis of the Anti-asthmatic Agent T-440: A Selective N-Alkylation of 2-Pyridone.
6,7-Diethoxy-1-[1-(2-methoxyethyl)-2-oxo-1,2-dihydropyridin- 4-yl]naphthalene-2,3-dimethanol [T-440, (1)] is a potential anti-asthmatic agent based on selective phosphodiesterase 4 inhibition. It was necessary for the further evaluation of 1 to develop an efficient synthetic route for 1, especially the construction of the 1-(2-methoxyethyl)-2-pyridone ...

IN SILICO PHARMACOKINETIC, BIOACTIVITY AND TOXICITY STUDY OF SOME SELECTED ANTI-ASTHMATIC AGENTS
Asthma is a disease affecting the airways that carry air to and from lungs. Exposure to various irritants and substances that trigger allergies (allergens) can trigger signs and symptoms of asthma. The prevalence of asthma varies widely in different regions of the world due to distinct genetic, environmental and occupational risk factors.

Pharmacological profiles of F-1322, a novel anti-asthmatic agent. (1). Mechanisms of action.
The pharmacological effects of N-[2-(4-(benzhydryloxy)piperidino)ethyl]-3-hydroxy-5-(3-pyridyl methoxy)-2- naphthamide (F-1322), a novel anti-asthmatic agent, was investigated in vitro. The results obtained were as follows: 1) In the isolated trachea of guinea pigs, F-1322 showed a markedly potent antagonistic action against the contraction induced by ...

The alpha4beta1 integrin, expressed on eosinophils and neutrophils, induces inflammation in the lung by facilitating cellular infiltration and activation. From a number of potent alpha4beta1 antagonists that we evaluated for safety and efficacy, 1 was selected as a lead candidate for anti-asthma therapy by the inhalation route.
