Preliminary Exploration on Anti-Fibrosis Effect of Kaempferol in Mice with Infection

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inflammation, 2013
This study is to explore the effectiveness and mechanism of kaempferol on treatment of hepatic fibrosis induced by schistosoma egg. Thirty-six healthy male balb/c mice were randomly divided into 6 groups, including negative group, positive group, and 4 different dosages of kaempferol treatment groups.

Ultrasound‐Responsive Dual‐Prodrug Nanoassembly for “Fenestrae‐Restoration Strategy” in Liver Fibrosis Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Liver fibrosis is a serious yet reversible intermediate stage in the progression of liver disease, which can ultimately advance to cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma. Targeted and selective inhibition of activated hepatic stellate cells (aHSCs) has emerged as a promising therapeutic strategy for the treatment of liver fibrosis.

Bicuculline from Forsythia suspensa attenuates liver fibrosis via TLR4/MD2 inhibition and suppression of MyD88/NF-κB signaling

open access: yesComputational and Structural Biotechnology Journal
Liver fibrosis, a cardinal feature of chronic liver injury, involves hepatic stellate cells (HSCs) activation and excessive extracellular matrix (ECM) deposition. Upon liver fibrosis, TLR4 is highly expressed on HSCs and Kupffer cells.

AI–Guided 4D Printing of Carnivorous Plants–Inspired Microneedles for Accelerated Wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents an artificial intelligence (AI)‐guided 4D‐printed microneedle platform inspired by carnivorous plants for wound healing. A thermo‐responsive shape memory polymer enables body temperature–triggered self‐coiling for autonomous wound closure.

Liver Stiffness Directs Intrahepatic Cholesterol Accumulation Through YAP/TAZ in Metabolic Dysfunction‐Associated Steatotic Liver Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Liver stiffness promotes intrahepatic cholesterol accumulation by repressing LXRα through YAP/TAZ activation. Stiff matrices impair cholesterol efflux in hepatocytes, while YAP/TAZ deletion restores LXRα activity and prevents cholesterol‐induced fibrosis.

Chronic Hypoxia Disrupts Spermatogenesis Through ASXL2–EZH2–Mediated Microtubule Destabilization

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals the mechanism by which chronic hypoxia impairs spermatogenesis via the ASXL2–EZH2 axis, hindering the transition of spermatids from round to elongated forms. Key findings reveal that under hypoxic conditions, downregulated ASXL2 expression reduces EZH2 binding to the CEP162 promoter, leading to decreased H3K27me3 modification and ...
