Recurrence of Goodpasture syndrome without circulating anti-glomerular basement membrane antibodies after kidney transplant, a case report

open access: yesBMC Nephrology, 2019
Background Goodpasture Syndrome (GS) is an autoimmune disease caused by the development of auto-antibodies against the Glomerular Basement Membrane (GBM).

Pauci Antibody Anti-GBM Nephritis: A Case Report

open access: yesJournal of Nephrology & Therapeutics, 2016
Anti-glomerular basement membrane (GBM) disease is characterized by autoantibodies directed against the anti-GBM antigen, which is part of the non-collagenous domain of the alpha 3(IV) collagen chain. These antibodies bind to the GBM and most patients show rapid progressive form of glomerulonephritis.

T Cell Exhaustion in Cancer Immunotherapy: Heterogeneity, Mechanisms, and Therapeutic Opportunities

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
T cell exhaustion limits immunotherapy efficacy. This article delineates its progression from stem‐like to terminally exhausted states, governed by persistent antigen, transcription factors, epigenetics, and metabolism. It maps the exhaustion landscape in the TME and proposes integrated reversal strategies, providing a translational roadmap to overcome

An Unusual Presentation of Myeloperoxidase-Associated Glomerulonephritis and Suspected IgA-Mediated Anti-Glomerular Basement Membrane Disease: A Case Report

open access: yesCase Reports in Nephrology and Dialysis
Introduction: Anti-glomerular basement membrane (GBM) disease is a rare cause of glomerulonephritis usually mediated by IgG antibodies and is associated with ANCA-associated glomerulonephritis in up to 50% of cases.

Rapidly Progressive Glomerulonephritis with Delayed Appearance of Anti-Glomerular Basement Membrane Antibody Successfully Treated with Multiple Courses of Steroid Pulse Therapy

open access: yesCase Reports in Nephrology and Dialysis, 2019
Patients with anti-glomerular basement membrane (GBM) antibody glomerulonephritis typically exhibit rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis (RPGN). The renal outcome as well as the prognosis of this disease is worse than other forms of RPGN such as those ...

Pharmacologic Modulation of ARID3A with Rimegepant Reactivates Type I Interferon Signaling and Sensitizes Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer to PD‐1 Blockade

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies ARID3A as a key immunosuppressive transcription factor in TNBC. Its inhibition activates the type I IFN pathway, boosting CD8+ T cell infiltration and sensitizing tumors to anti‐PD‐1. The FDA‐approved migraine drug Rimegepant targets ARID3A, enhances immunotherapy efficacy in preclinical models, and establishes a druggable axis to

Antibody-Negative Relapse of Goodpasture Syndrome with Pulmonary Hemorrhage

open access: yesCase Reports in Medicine, 2019
Goodpasture syndrome is a rare autoimmune disease comprising antiglomerular basement membrane (anti-GBM) crescentic glomerulonephritis and pulmonary capillaritis with circulating anti-GBM antibodies.

Sequential development of ANCA‐associated vasculitis and anti‐GBM disease: A report of two cases

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, 2021
In case of AAV with kidney involvement, physicians should explore anti‐GBM antibodies and be aware of the possible sequential development of AAV, especially with MPO‐ANCA, and anti‐GBM glomerulonephritis.

Aptamer‐Engineered Liposomal Platform Enables in Situ cDC1 Vaccination to Potentiate Immunotherapy in Prostate Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Prostate cancer is immunologically ‘cold’, with scarce, dysfunctional type 1 conventional dendritic cells (cDC1s) that limit T cell priming. We introduce an aptamer‐targeted liposomedelivering FMS‐like tyrosine kinase 3 ligand (Flt3L) and chlorin e6 (Ce6). Ultrasound induces antigen release and cDC1s recruitment, creating an in situ cDC1 vaccine.

Of mice and men: Murine models of anti-GBM antibody nephritis [PDF]

open access: yesKidney International, 2002
The autoimmune response to renal antigens is a significant cause of progressive glomerulonephritis and end-stage renal disease, leading to dialysis or kidney transplantation. A prominent target of renal immune injury is type IV collagen, a major constituent of the glomerular basement membrane (GBM).
