MicroRNA-10b promotes arthritis development by disrupting CD4+ T cell subtypes
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an inflammation-involved disorder and features the disruption of CD4+ T lymphocytes. Herein, we describe that microRNA-10b-5p (miR-10b) promotes RA progression by disrupting the balance between subsets of CD4+ T cells.

Bidirectional Role of β2-Adrenergic Receptor in Autoimmune Diseases
Disorder of the sympathetic nervous system (SNS) is closely related to the pathogenesis of various autoimmune diseases (ADs). Catecholamine triggered beta2-adrenergic receptor (β2-AR) signaling is important in creating a bidirectional response in the ...

The glucocorticoid receptor in inflammatory processes : transrepression is not enough [PDF]
Glucocorticoids (GCs) are the most commonly used anti-inflammatory agents to treat inflammatory and immune diseases. However, steroid therapies are accompanied by severe side-effects during long-term treatment. The dogma that transrepression of genes, by

Simvastatin inhibits TLR8 signaling in primary human monocytes and spontaneous TNF production from rheumatoid synovial membrane cultures [PDF]
Simvastatin has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects that are independent of its serum cholesterol lowering action, but the mechanisms by which these anti-inflammatory effects are mediated have not been elucidated.

Synovial Macrophages in Rheumatoid Arthritis: The Past, Present, and Future
The ontogeny of macrophages in most organs has already been established. Owing to the limited number and inaccessibility of synovial macrophages (SMs), the origin of SMs has not been fully elucidated.

Molecular Mechanisms of T Cells Activation by Dendritic Cells in Autoimmune Diseases
The interaction between T cell and dendritic cells (DCs) that leads to T cell activation affects the progression of the immune response including autoimmune diseases. Antigen presentation on immune cell surface, formation of an immunological synapse (IS),

Matrikines are key regulators in modulating the amplitude of lung inflammation in acute pulmonary infection [PDF]
Bioactive matrix fragments (matrikines) have been identified in a myriad of disorders, but their impact on the evolution of airway inflammation has not been demonstrated.

Synthesis, in vitro, and in vivo biological evaluation and molecular docking simulations of chiral alcohol and ether derivatives of the 1,5-diarylpyrrole scaffold as novel anti-inflammatory and analgesic agents. [PDF]
Following our previous research on anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), we report here the synthesis of chiral 1,5-diarylpyrroles derivatives that were characterized for their in vitro inhibitory effects toward cyclooxygenase (COX) isozymes.
