ABSTRACT Background While various pulsed field ablation (PFA) systems for atrial fibrillation (AF) ablation have become available in recent years, data comparing long‐term efficacy outcomes remain limited. Purpose To compare long‐term efficacy outcomes of two commercially available PFA systems to perform pulmonary vein isolation (PVI) for AF in a ...

Safety issues of antiarrhythmic therapy for atrial fibrillation
The article discusses the safety of antiarrhythmic therapy for atrial fibrillation in the light of the development of cardiac and non-cardiac side effects, the presence of drug-drug interactions of antiarrhythmic drugs in the near (with anticoagulants ...

Management of monomorphic ventricular tachycardia electrical storm in structural heart disease
Electrical storm (ES) is a life-threatening condition that is defined by three or more episodes of sustained ventricular tachycardia (VT), ventricular fibrillation (VF), or appropriate shocks from an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) within 24

ABSTRACT Background The variable‐loop circular catheter (VLCC, VARIPULSE) is a pulsed‐field ablation (PFA) catheter equipped with a Tissue Proximity Indication (TPI) function, which monitors catheter‐tissue contact. Although TPI‐negative sites have been reported to contribute to gap formation, no studies have evaluated the utility of real‐time function.

Displays bar graphs showing outcome rates stratified by clinical and hemodynamic variables. Asterisks (*) denote statistically significant differences (p ≤ 0.05). “NS” indicates non‐significant comparisons. Percentages are shown above each bar. The top panel corresponds to acute kidney injury (blue bars), and the bottom panel corresponds to acute ...

Cardiac arrhythmias are among the leading causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide. While antiarrhythmic drugs traditionally represent the first-line management strategy, their use is often limited by profound proarrhythmic effects.

ABSTRACT Background Effective monitoring of atrial fibrillation (AF) recurrence following catheter ablation is crucial for optimizing patient outcomes. Various monitoring strategies exist, but effectiveness comparisons remain underexplored. Objective This study compares the recurrence of atrial arrhythmias detected by continuous versus patch ECG ...

Electrophysiological Mechanisms of Atrial Flutter
Atrial flutter (AFL) is a common arrhythmia in clinical practice. Several experimental models such as tricuspid regurgitation model, tricuspid ring model, sterile pericarditis model and atrial crush injury model have provided important information about

This study compared STDE‐guided versus LVZ‐guided ablation beyond PVI in 107 persistent AF patients. At 24 months, the AF‐free survival rate was significantly higher in the STDE group (76.3% vs. 58.4%, p=0.027). STDE ablation independently reduced recurrence risk (HR: 0.29, p=0.004), providing superior clinical efficacy over LVZ ablation.

Background Cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) play a significant role in fueling prostate cancer (PCa) progression by interacting with tumor cells. A previous gene expression analysis revealed that CAFs up-regulate genes coding for voltage-gated cation
