A Multidimensional Engineering Strategy Reprograms Microglia via Targeted and Sustained‐Release Extracellular Vesicles for Spinal Cord Injury Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A multifunctional EV‐based nanoplatform (Ang‐TEVs@Gel) was engineered via preconditioning, surface targeting, and ROS‐responsive hydrogel encapsulation to reprogram microglia. This system restored autophagy via miR‐664a‐3p/PIK3CA axis, cleared myelin debris, resolved neuroinflammation, and promoted axon remyelination, ultimately achieving robust motor ...

Application and Single‐Cell Regulation Mechanism of Engineered EVs Combined With 4D‐Printed Hydrogel for Infected Burn Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
4D bioprinted hydrogel loaded with FGF2‐modified extracellular vesicles (4D@F‐EVs) targets dermal fibroblasts and elevates local wound FGF2 levels via sustained release of F‐EVs. It activates PI3K‐Akt signaling, restores critical KGF+ fibroblast–KGFR+ keratinocyte crosstalk, enhances robust angiogenesis and collagen deposition to efficiently repair ...

Nucleoside‐Modified mRNA Encoding Alpha‐Galactosidase A Ameliorates Fabry Disease Phenotypes in Human IPSC‐Derived Cardiomyocytes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Human iPSC‐derived Fabry cardiomyocytes exhibited broad transcriptional dysregulation, apoptosis, mitochondrial dysfunction, impaired reactive oxygen species handling, altered contractility, and abnormal calcium transient decay, potentially mediated by phospholamban hyperphosphorylation.

Analysis of antibody isotypes.

open access: yes, 2016
Anti-Pvs48/45 sera showing positive reactivity to Pfs48/45 in ELISA and Western blotting (4 out of 5 from CFA group and 2 out of 5 from Montanide ISA-51 group) were individually tested to compare immunoglobulin isotypes. ELISA plates coated with Pvs48/45

Evaluation of Immuno-Rolling Circle Amplification for Multiplex Detection and Profiling of Antigen-Specific Antibody Isotypes

open access: yes, 2021
Antibody characterization is essential for understanding the immune system and development of diagnostics and therapeutics. Current technologies are mainly focusing on the detection of antigen-specific immunoglobulin G (IgG) using bulk singleplex ...

Loss of LCN2 Function Ameliorates Glucocorticoid‐Induced Muscle Atrophy via Remodeling the Extracellular Matrix

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Glucocorticoids transcriptionally activate LCN2 expression via GR nuclear translocation. Secreted LCN2 binds MMP9 to degrade skeletal muscle ECM collagen, blocks integrin‐mediated mechanotransduction, bidirectionally disrupts muscle protein homeostasis, and reveals a novel target for steroid‐induced muscle atrophy.

Root‐Inspired Microneedle Patch With Interlocked Rigid‐Soft Architecture for High Tissue‐Adaptiveness

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A root‐inspired microneedle array patch uses lattice‐based mechanical interlocking to unite rigid microneedles with a flexible substrate. The interlocked rigid–soft architecture improves interfacial bonding, supports stable adhesion on curved and wet tissues under dynamic motion, and provides a versatile platform for robust biointerfacing and future ...

Allergen-specific antibody levels.

open access: yes, 2016
The release of functional Bet v 1-specific IgE was quantified by β-hexosaminidase release from rat basophil leukaemia cells (RBL) (A). Bet v 1-specific IgG1 (B) and IgG2a (C) antibody levels were measured by ELISA.

Klotho‐Derived Peptide 1 Protects against Acute Kidney Injury by Directly Targeting Mitochondrial ATAD3A

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study uncovers that KP1, a Klotho‐derived peptide, protects the kidney against acute kidney injury, a clinical syndrome with high morbidity and mortality. KP1 enters tubular epithelial cells via endocytosis, directly interacts with the mitochondrial ATAD3A/HIGD2A complex, thereby preventing cytochrome c release, and caspases activation, and ...

R21/Matrix-M malaria vaccine drives diverse immune responses in pre-exposed adults: insights from a phase IIb controlled human malaria infection trial

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology
IntroductionThe recently licenced R21/Matrix-M vaccine induces a protective antibody response. In this study, we examined vaccine-induced responses in semi-immune adults in a controlled human malaria infection (CHMI) Phase IIb clinical trial ...
