Strategy of Triple‐Gradient in Binary Pixels for Flexible Pressure Sensing with High Sensitivity and Wide‐Range Linearity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A flexible pressure sensor with triple‐gradient design of conductivity, modulus, and dimension in binary micro‐dome pixels is proposed. Based on precisely‐designed CNT/PDMS matrix, the device exhibits a linear sensitivity of 974.1 kPa−1 across range up to 1.8 MPa (R2 > 0.99), offering an effective strategy for potential applications in healthcare ...

Evaluation of Periodontal Indices Following Use of Two Incision Techniques in Apical Surgery Evaluation of Periodontal Indices Following Use of Two Incision Techniques in Apical Surgery [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Dental Materials and Techniques, 2013
Introduction: It is important to preserve epithelial and connective tissue attachment at its original level after periapical surgery. The aim of this study was to compare the periodontal parameters after using the papilla base flap and the sulcular ...

Influence of Citric Acid on the Vitality of Stem Cells from Apical Papilla

open access: yesActa Medica Bulgarica, 2018
The endodontic treatment of immature permanent teeth with necrotic pulp is a serious clinical challenge. The chemical agents, used in regenerative procedures, should be selected not only based on their bactericidal/bacteriostatic properties, but also on ...

A role for contractile vacuole and papilla in transition from cyst to telotroch in Vorticella microstoma [PDF]

open access: yesRoyal Society Open Science
Unicellular ciliates survive adverse environments by forming resting cysts. Using video microscopy and quantitative imaging, we established that differentiation of swimming telotrochs and their release from a cyst followed a strict temporal and spatial ...

Gαi1/3 Are Essential for BMP2‐Induced Osteogenesis by Bridging BMP Receptors to the Gab1 Signaling Complex

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The Gαi1/3 protein is a crucial connecting protein closely related to the signal transduction process of bone formation‐related cytokines such as BMP2. Gαi1/3 mediates downstream signaling pathways such as Smads and MAPK by binding to adaptor proteins like Gab1, thereby promoting the osteogenic effect of BMSCs.

Low-Level Laser Irradiation Promotes Proliferation and Differentiation on Apical Papilla Stem Cells: Low-Level Irradiation Effect on Apical Papilla Stem Cells [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
Introduction: Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) has been reported to improve cell proliferation and differentiation. The stem cells derived from dental apical papilla (SCAPs) are a promising therapy because they are easily obtained from immature human teeth.

Early stages of tooth development in the harbor porpoise Phocoena phocoena

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Here we describe the stages of tooth development in toothed whales on the basis of the harbor porpoise (Phocoena phocoena). The aim of the study was to find out whether these stages are identical to those of other mammals analyzed so far although toothed whales are homodont and monophyodont.

Characterization of human apical papilla-derived stem cells. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Dental tissues represent an alternative and promising source of post-natal Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) for tissue engineering. Furthermore, dental stem cells from apical papilla (SCAPs) cells can be obtained from the wisdom tooth which is unnecessary ...

Molecular insight into odontogenesis in hyperglycemic environment: A systematic review

open access: yesJournal of Pharmacy and Bioallied Sciences, 2020
Diabetes mellitus is an endocrinal disorder affecting worldwide and the disease incidence is rising alarmingly high. The effects of diabetes on tooth development are explored by limited studies and their molecular insights are very rarely studied.

Different shape but the same topographical complexity—The lingual gross anatomy of the Saimaa (Pusa saimensis) and Baltic ringed seals (Pusa hispida botnica)

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Despite the distinctly different shapes of their tongues, the tongue gross anatomy of Saimaa ringed seal closely resembled that of Baltic ringed seal. There were no differences in the extrinsic and intrinsic tongue muscles or their associated vascularization and innervation between Saimaa and Baltic ringed seals.
