PENUNDAAN PLASMA SITRAT PADA SUHU KAMAR (27C) TERHADAP HASIL PEMERIKSAAN APTT ( Activated Partial Thromboplastin Time )

open access: yes, 2012
Perneriksaan APTT adalah serangkaian tes dari sistem koagulasi instrinsik dimana fase kontak dari rangkaian jalur koagulasi diaktivasi sebelum sampel direkalsifikasi dengan adanya pengganti trombosit.

Subungual Glomus Tumor With Nail Plate Defect in a 6‐Year‐Old Child: A Case Report and Literature Review

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT We present a 6‐year‐old boy with a subungual glomus tumor of the left ring finger associated with nail plate damage. Diagnosis was confirmed by ultrasound; surgical excision yielded good recovery. This report improves clinical recognition of this extremely rare presentation.

An Uncommon Case of Ecthyma Gangrenosum in a Three‐Year‐Old Immunocompetent Child

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 6, June 2026.
The necrotic lesions on day 10. ABSTRACT Ecthyma gangrenosum (EG) is a rare cutaneous finding of Pseudomonas aeruginosa sepsis, typically in immunocompromised patients. We present EG with septic shock in a previously healthy three‐year‐old child who presented with rapidly progressing necrotic eschars and severe neutropenia.

Psychological stress catalyses free radical-mediated activation of coagulation in humans. [PDF]

open access: yesJ Physiol
Abstract figure legend This study provides the first in vivo evidence that acute psychological stress triggers systemic free radical formation and prothrombotic remodelling of blood clot microstructure. By inducing stress in healthy participants, we observed a significant increase in oxidative stress (A•−), a shortening of the intrinsic pathway of ...

Cognitive Biases in Early Trauma Transfusions: Lessons From Three Rare Cases of Acute Hemolytic Reaction

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Massive transfusion protocols are essential in trauma resuscitation but may inadvertently increase the risk of acute hemolytic transfusion reactions (AHTRs), which are typically caused by ABO incompatibility. Recognition is difficult because signs of hemolysis can mimic trauma‐related hemorrhage or coagulopathy.
