Arabinogalactan proteins: focus on carbohydrate active enzymes [PDF]
Arabinogalactan proteins (AGPs) are a highly diverse class of cell surface proteoglycans that are commonly found in most plant species. AGPs play important roles in many cellular processes during plant development, such as reproduction, cell proliferation, pattern formation and growth, and in plant-microbe interaction.

DUF1070 as a signature domain of a subclass of arabinogalactan peptides [PDF]
Over 20% of all protein domains are currently annotated as “domains of unknown function” or DUFs. In a recently identified Centaurium erythraea arabinogalactan peptide, CeAGP3 (AGN92423), a conserved DUF1070 domain was found.

Arabinogalactan proteins in root–microbe interactions
Arabinogalactan proteins (AGPs) are among the most intriguing sets of macromolecules, specific to plants, structurally complex, and found abundantly in all plant organs including roots, as well as in root exudates. AGPs have been implicated in several fundamental plant processes such as development and reproduction.

The Classical Arabinogalactan Protein Gene Family of Arabidopsis [PDF]
Arabinogalactan proteins (AGPs) are extracellular proteoglycans implicated in plant growth and development. We searched for classical AGPs in Arabidopsis by identifying expressed sequence tags based on the conserved domain structure of the predicted protein backbone.

Review: structure and modifications of arabinogalactan proteins (AGPs)
AbstractThe aim of this report is to provide general information on the molecular structure and synthesis of arabinogalactan proteins (AGPs) in association to their physiological significance. Assessment of genetic modifications of the activity of enzymes involved in the AGP biosynthesis is an efficient tool to study AGP functions.

Arabinogalactan-Proteins: Key Regulators at the Cell Surface? [PDF]
Arabinogalactan-proteins (AGPs) are undoubtedly one of the most complex families of macromolecules found in plants, perhaps matched only by the polyphenolics (lignins/cutins/suberins) and pectins. Their complexity arises from the incredible diversity of the glycans decorating the protein backbone,
