Development and Optimization of Biofilms Made from Potato or Arracacha Starch

Starch/Staerke, 2021
AbstractArracacha starch and potato starch are alternatives to synthetic polymers as starting materials for the production of biofilms. Herein, we determined the optimal concentrations of glycerol and potato or arracacha starch to obtain biofilms with high whiteness, transparency value (TV), and elastic modulus (E).

Edaphoclimatic characterization and crop water requirement of Arracacha (Arracacia xanthorrhiza Bancroft) roots in upland production areas

Scientia Horticulturae, 2020
Arracacha root is an upland crop, quite tolerant to water scarcity conditions, nevertheless, in cases of abnormal climate variability patterns the risk of drought and thus crop productivity loss gets higher.

Arracacha virus A, a newly recognised virus infecting arracacha (Arracacia xanthorrhiza; Umbelliferae) in the Peruvian Andes

open access: yesAnnals of Applied Biology, 1978
SUMMARYArracacha virus A (AVA), a previously undescribed virus, is common in arracacha (Arracacia xanthorrhiza; Umbelliferae) in the Huanuco region of the Peruvian Andes. AVA was not transmitted by Myzus persicae, but was transmitted by inoculation of sap to 38 species from 10 families out of 63 species from 12 families tested.
