Properties of Steam-Treated Arrowroot (Maranta arundinacea) Starch
Starch - Stärke, 2000Arrowroot starch was steam-treated (ST) by subjecting to pressure steaming at 1.03 bar for 15 min, after preconditioning the moisture content in the samples to 15, 25 and 30%. A control sample (9.8% H 2 O) without any added moisture was also treated in a similar way.

Effect of antimicrobials addition on the characteristic of arrowroot starch-based films
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2019Arrowroot starch-based films have been prepared by incorporating various antimicrobials at different addition temperature. Films was made by adding various antimicrobials agent (natrium benzoate, potassium sorbate or calcium propionate) and different addition temperature (60,70, and 80°C).

Microwave-Assisted Modification of Arrowroot Starch for Pharmaceutical Matrix Tablets
Advanced Materials Research, 2010As a new processing method for the production of modified starch, microwave heating was applied to native arrowroot starch. The effect of processing parameter on the sustained release properties of the obtained modified starches was investigated. The modified starch was blended with a model drug, theophylline, and then compressed into tablet using ...

3D printed arrowroot starch-gellan scaffolds for wound healing applications
International Journal of Biological MacromoleculesSkin, the largest organ in the body, blocks the entry of environmental pollutants into the system. Any injury to this organ allows infections and other harmful substances into the body. 3D bioprinting, a state-of-the-art technique, is suitable for fabricating cell culture scaffolds to heal chronic wounds rapidly.

RHIZOME YIELD AND QUALITY OF ARROWROOT STARCH AS A FUNCTION OF HARVEST SEASON
